it's funny... some people hate tests with a passion, and others will test the most useless things.

i think infra might be the only valid dependency anymore. unfortunately for the devops out there, an LLM can knock out deployment quickly & cleanly. they even have skills for setup

i couldn't give two shits about sportsball and it's practically the only thing in my feed right now. that and how OSS and dependencies are dead (which i've been saying for almost a year)

i still can't just use existing software off the shelf... there's a hundred software factories and they all feel gross to me.

i just played an xbox game with a guy named "Kali-Linux####" that had a voice changer on his mic... i asked him "have you ever successfully bypassed the firewall using a double routed HTML injection script?" he said, "sometimes i use a triple routed to really hack them" 🀣

you want to wash wang? or watch wang wash wang?
Drop ONE quote from a video game. Don’t name the game. Let’s see who recognizes where it’s from.

hey @grok, is using an arsenal of bots to harass a company to forcibly re-deliver a package that is lost on account of a third party logistics company a violation of CFAA? maybe i'm wrong here, but i don't think so?

you can spot a real software developer when they use terms like reify. 99% of the devs i've come across don't have a clue what that means.
all right, what's everyone's favorite crate for reifying state machines in Rust?

the most ironic part about this is it's completely unacceptable to NOT know something... it's NOT acceptable to forcibly persist ignorance.
you have the opportunity to learn, but instead you'd rather hate-cope 🀣 ngmi.

every single one of the replies proved my point.

it's amazing how people chime in without having a clue what they're talking about... they won't even take 10-60 seconds to look something up or read information, but they'll argue with you until they're blue in the face!

being a solo "first principles" dev for decades is not the flex you think it is

i've been saying this. i'm near-zero dependencies these days. if my hardware was good enough, it would be zero.
What’s going to happen to open source? A prediction: Dependencies are over. The same Brotli vulnerability impacted .NET, Node, Bun, Envoy and more. Dependencies are too big of a target. When rewriting a dependency is one prompt away, why take the risk?

some of the most petty and immature people i've met had children... this is just correlation, nothing more. people will be people, some never grow up.
Unpopular opinion: most people who don’t have kids never fully grow up. The reason is simple: you can’t be fully mature if there’s nobody in your life who truly matters more than you, someone you’d be brave for because your love for them transcends your survival instinct.
