Connie Craig’s favorite hockey memory was when her team won the championship right after her dad’s passing. Even though she was the only female on the team, her teammates who were mostly Punjabi, displayed compassion and kindness that she will always remember.

Athanasiou, a former 30 goal scorer, gives EDM much needed speed on the wings, and will get immeadiate shot in Edm's top 9.
Look for Ken Holland to recoup traded picks to Detroit, in a Jesse Pulujarvi trade closer to the draft.
Sam Gagner-class guy!
🔁 TRADE 🔁
The #Oilers have acquired forwards Andreas Athanasiou & Ryan Kuffner from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for forward Sam Gagner & two second-round draft picks (2020 & 2021). In addition, Edmonton will retain 10% of Gagner's salary.

The @Canes emergency backup goalie (EBUG) tonight is 42-year-old Dave Ayres. Ayres served as EBUG for the Charlotte Checkers on Feb. 1 against the Marlies, and received a kidney transplant in 2004.

Schwartz on Zuccarello saved a goal but that was the definition of interference.

Last point from an officiating mind; future potential injury! With Bishop down & back of legs; neck; head & unable to defend himself let alone his net, a slapshot strikes him in vulnerable spot resulting in debilitating injury or worse, what would we be talking about? No whistle!

Honestly, this wasn’t a Bang-Bang play on shot & rebound into the net when Bishop hit on collarbone. Ref’s discretion, based on seriousness of potential injury could have killed the play when puck was loose up high until STL regained possession. With Bishop still down; whistle?

100,000 people in attendance... $3Mil purse... $250-$300 Million wagered... And the control room is ran by 3 people in essentially an unfinished closet with a broken TV. #kentuckyderby #horseracing
I am no horse racing expert but just watched the Kentucky Derby and wow, nothing seems to be without controversy anymore. First time in history a Kentucky Derby winner has been disqualified on the track. #KentuckyDerby2019 #videoreview

Jim...I felt sick in the pit of my stomach. Mistakes are made, we all made enough of them, but a cross-check SHOVE to the chest area in this case was not the overriding caused of Pav’s awkwark fall/injury. Incidental contact from Stastny resulted in bad ending.
Replying to @kfraserthecall
@kfraserthecall you are uncharacteristically quiet after that #SJSvsVGK game last night... love to hear your thoughts.

Last night's Game 7 was absolutely wild between the Vegas Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks.
Was Vegas fleeced on the controversial penalty call? @THNMattLarkin shares his thoughts.

No arms were raised. No penalty was being called. The 4 clowns have got to get together & talk about what they saw. That call can’t be made.. let alone in game 7...all control VGK had was lost on the road. Eakin still gotta meet with player safety?#nhljoke
What a brutal call, that is not a 5 min major on Eakin @NHL refs making calls that completely change games ... getting tired of seeing this crap.
