🇺🇸 US sanctions 5 Chinese entities over an AI startup built on stolen Google AI secrets.
The startup, Shanghai Zhisuan Technology, was founded by ex-Google engineer Linwei Ding.
MiraclePlus, a Chinese venture firm, funded it.
Ding was convicted for stealing Google AI trade secrets and was sentenced to nearly a year in prison.
The sanctions freeze the entities' assets, and US dealings with them must stop by January 19, 2027.
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa arrested for grand theft and fraud over COVID grants.
The state CFO says seven businesses in properties owned or managed by her family got $90,000 combined.
