Today in MAGA America in 3 headlines.
First, Russian journalist Marina Akhmedova (who is on the Treasury Department’s sanctions list) on the current status of U.S.-Russian relations in the Trump era:
“In my personal view, victory has already been achieved. It is not just a matter of the 20 to 25 percent of (Ukrainian) territory we have liberated, it is also about how the United States now engages with Russia.”
Nikita Khrushchev was alleged to have said “we will take America without firing a shot.” While Khrushchev never actually said that (he said “we will bury you”), Russians are declaring victory as Trump has decided that Russia is our pal and Canada is our enemy. What a disgrace.
Second, as I’ve said before, slavery didn’t end, it just transformed. The majority of Americans have healthcare coverage through their employers (and they’re tied to their employers in order to keep their families insured). While big corporations are making record profits, healthcare costs are rising and employers are passing more of the costs on to their workers.
“The yearly price, on average, for employees to cover their family is now $7,471 a year, up 9 percent from 2025. The total cost for a family plan, including the amount the employer contributes to the annual premiums, has reached $28,303. Overall, the average deductible for U.S. workers is approaching $2,000 before insurance kicks in, according to the survey.”
And with Republican cuts to Medicaid and ACA subsidies, the percentage of Americans without healthcare coverage rose from 8.9 percent in 2024 to 11.2 percent in 2026. And more cuts are coming in January. Ah, the Golden Age!
Finally, they say that when they show you who they are, believe them. Amy Acton was removed from her home at the age of 12 and her stepfather was indicted by a grand jury for rape (he fled the state before trial). Her mother backed her stepfather and she and her mother haven’t spoken in half a century. Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy thought the mother who lost custody of her 12 year old daughter and sided with her alleged rapist husband would make the perfect campaign attack ad. When they show you that they’re despicable lowlife scum, believe them.

of course he broke it.

Do you know who to vote for in the midterms? Let me give you some help, but you decide. The Democratic Party wants open borders, while the Republican Party wants secure borders. The Democratic Party wants noncitizens to be able to vote; the Republican Party supports requiring voter ID. The Democratic Party wants to give taxpayer-funded benefits like healthcare to noncitizens; the Republican Party says No to that. And there are a hundred more issues. The choice is yours—but look prayerfully at what both parties stand for.

There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.

“It’s from Steve Witkoff. He’s nominated me for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
I’ll go out on a limb and say he’d never take classified information with him and store it in the bathroom of his country club.
I believe Abdul El-Sayed is Muslim Brotherhood.
If he were to win, Chuck Schumer could place him on the Senate Intelligence Committee. He would have access to the very highest level of classified materials.
There would be an unacceptably high risk that the lives of American servicemen and women would be endangered, because there’s every reason to believe El-Sayed would share that classified information with Muslim Brotherhood terrorists.
Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff addressing Vladimir Putin:
“You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that, I commend you, and I thank you again.”
If you’re stupid enough to believe that Trump is a Christian then you’re no doubt stupid enough to believe that Vladimir Putin is a humanitarian.
Or, as Senator Thom Tillis said:
“WTF, Steve? Look up the definition of ‘humanitarian.’ What an embarrassing and outrageous thing to say. You should go back to Ukraine and ask the families of the children Putin has kidnapped and murdered whether they agree your friend Putin is a ‘humanitarian.’”
Or as Jamie Metzel — former member of the National Security Council and member of the Council on Foreign Relations — said:
“It is a betrayal of America and a historic national disgrace that Steve Wikoff is calling Vladimir Putin a humanitarian.”

The national debt topped the 40 trillion dollar mark on August 18.
62 days later, it’s up to 40.4 trillion dollars.
That’s $120,000 of debt for every man, woman, and child in this country, and your share of the debt grows by more than $25 per day.
In the fiscal year that ended on September 30, we paid 1.143 trillion dollars in interest on the debt. The government took in 5.4 trillion in FY26. That means over 21 cents out of every dollar of revenue collected did nothing other than cover interest costs.
And what is Trump doing about the debt (which in 2016 he said he would reduce to zero)?
Outfitting his flying Sky Palace (Emoluments One), building a triumphal arch, constructing a ballroom like no one has ever seen before, turning a beloved community golf course into luxury links, fighting the 8th month of a war he said would last 2 weeks, and promising bribery checks that will stack another 1.2 trillion dollars on the debt pile.
This has to stop!
First there was the Alina Habba story about her billionaire Turkish third husband sending a 17.6 million dollar check — which was issued by the Democratic Republic of the Congo rather than the billionaire third husband — to a defense contractor in Texas connected to Trump’s pal Richard Grenell who Trump made head of the Kennedy Center which included 5.6 million dollars that was to go to the Kennedy Center to get Trump to help the billionaire third husband with the business ventures he had secured in Venezuela from President Maduro who Trump kidnapped.
Then there’s the story of a Venezuelan billionaire who paid Habba 50 million dollars for 4 years of legal services as general counsel of a brand new company he created that has no apparent actual business in order to use her access to Trump to procure a pardon for felony bribery charges that low and behold got reduced down to a petty misdemeanor.
In a recent poll, the number one issue for most Americans wasn’t gas prices or inflation or immigration or trans athletes — it was government corruption. And there’s never in the history of the country been a period of more rampant government corruption than the past 21 months since Trump’s inauguration.
Stop the Damned Corruption Now!
The most corrupt president in American history

"Some U.S. officials say that Musk acted unilaterally and that Trump didn’t specifically order any retribution against Ukraine. But a person familiar with the situation said Musk talked to multiple senior administration officials, including with Trump, before imposing the new speed cap, which Ukrainian officials said had allowed Russian missiles to evade their defenses." wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli…

40.39 trillion dollars in debt
$4.28 gas
$6.32 diesel
5.12% yield on 10-year t-bills
7.4% 30 year mortgage rate
3.7% inflation
Bankruptcy filing up 12.2%
77% of Americans rate the economy as poor
So that’s what the single greatest moment in history for the American economy looks like?
So $12 billion to farmers because of the damage his tariffs caused and another $8 billion for the damage his war created. Seems like we could save money and not have to give handouts to farmers if we just stopped doing stupid shit.
Trump: "I'm pleased to announce that the Department of Agriculture will be launching a new harvest fuel relief program providing our farmers with $8 billion in support to offset diesel costs during this harvest season. And Roger Marshall is the leader who fought for that to happen."
