You know a man is something special when Charles Barkley gets choked up talking about him.
In 1991 an orphanage worker in Romania told Ernie Johnson's wife, "Don't take this boy, he's no good." Ernie said, "Then bring him home."
Their son Michael had muscular dystrophy and lived on a ventilator. For years Ernie bathed him, shaved him, and told him he loved him every single day. Michael passed away in 2021 at 33.
That is what kind of man Ernie Johnson is. That is what true love looks like.
Ladies and gentlemen, that is a gentleman.

Not that journalistic integrity has ever been Woj’s modus operandi, but it’s unbelievable that St. Bonaventure is paying a reporter—with donor money—to write puff pieces about the program while presenting himself as independent. Donors need to ask how their money is being spent!

High-level sources in the Bona Athletic department are telling me that, excluding season-ticket holders, only 32 tickets have been sold for Monday’s game against Youngstown State. Gotta give it to Woj, no one could kill Olean/Allegany interest in Bona hoops so quickly - genius!
Few guys I respect more than Billy Walters… a uniquely American story. Glad over the past few years he has been able to expose how fraudulent Phil was/is. Many could sense it prior to the stories coming out - others weren’t as smart.

Per sources, Bona donors’ donations are being used to fund Jonah Bronstein’s salary. He was hired to cover men’s hoops as an “outsider” to ensure that positive reporting about the program was done.
I’m sure donors want more water-carriers, not better rosters or facilities. Sad!
