I spent months blaming my strategy for my losses when the real problem was my execution. Every time I broke my own rules I convinced myself the system stopped working. The painful part is most of my losses came from trades I was never supposed to take in the first place.

I used to laugh at people who said trading affects your mental health. Then I became a trader myself and realized one bad week can make you question your entire future if you’re not mentally strong.

Dad buys stock at $250K. It grows to $12M. If he sells, he owes tax on an $11.75M gain. Instead, he puts it in a trust. Borrows against it. Borrowing is not income. So no tax. He lives on loans. Never sells. He dies holding the asset. Kids inherit at a $12M basis. IRS gets $0.
