Ooga booga. Grug want win. Grug no want lose. Grug think hard… head hurt… but Grug figure it out. What is wrong with me? Am I having a stroke? No… Roman Helmet Guy made a point in this post that really struck home for me. He's reacting to all of the hate that the TPUSA guys receive when they set up their tables on campus to debate the students, just like Charlie did. He's making a very simple point. It's as simple as it is brutal. Weak tribes don't convert young men. Imagine you are a 19-year-old, full of piss and vinegar. The age where men are ready to go to war. And you watch those videos. Which side looks like it's winning? Which one is having more fun? The side that's laughing and smiling... or the side that frowns and says "I'll pray for you"? Grug know answer. Grug get club and join laughing tribe. Grug isn't smart. He's never read anything by Thomas Sowell… he doesn't sit up at night pondering the big questions about economics and history. Grug just wants to be on the winning side. Most people are a lot more like Grug than they'd like to admit. Probably not you. But Grug's vote counts as much as yours does, and there's a lot more of him than there is of us. Grug doesn't care about your argument. Grug cares who's winning. Underneath Roman Helmet Guy's post, men were replying. Most of them were using different words to say the same thing. One of them put it like this: "'Debate me bro' died with Charlie." The marketplace of ideas is dead. It's a battlefield. Grug doesn't want to join the side that is getting dominated. Grug wants to be a predator, not prey. Grug doesn't care about morality or prayer. You and I do. But we still need Grug… and so we have to convey strength. The young men of the right are not going to accept weakness. They are not going to accept "I'll pray for you" as an adequate response for people who want us dead and seem determined to make it happen. They want someone to pick up the sword. We're not murderers… and anyone on our side who thinks violence is the answer should look at who holds the power. We don't control the institutions, the universities, or the media. They'd crush him, and they'd use him to crush the rest of us. I'll tell you who the model to follow is. Nayib Bukele. The President of El Salvador. Ten years ago El Salvador was the murder capital of the world. More than 100 murders per 100,000 people. It was gangland territory. Citizens couldn't go outside without the constant fear of being murdered, kidnapped, or raped. He's said he believes in God and in Jesus Christ. Imagine Bukele standing in front of MS-13 and saying, "I'll pray for you." They would have laughed at him… and kept killing. Instead, he responded with the sword. He took power, and he used it. On the very first day his party controlled the legislature, they removed the Supreme Court judges and the attorney general who stood in his way. He took the courts and the prosecutors first. Then he went after the gangs. He didn't debate the gangs or write strongly worded letters about them… he locked them up. Tens of thousands of them. Western media called him a dictator. The only time you'd hear about him in the New York Times or on MSNBC was because he was supposedly committing "human rights abuses" when he started treating MS-13 members like what they were: murderers. And Bukele laughed at them. He changed his Twitter bio to "the coolest dictator in the world." He built an army of Grugs... voters who saw a strong man and wanted to be on his side. The media screamed. Grug cheered. He won reelection in 2024 with about 85% of the vote. El Salvador is now roughly as safe as Canada. Probably safer. Salvadorans can walk their streets at night again... something a whole generation of them had never known. Trump is the closest thing the West has to Bukele. They also happen to be friends who work well together. But Trump doesn't have the kind of executive power Bukele has over a small country. Trump has to deal with the House and the Senate. The courts can block him. The managerial bureaucracies can't be shut down, and the people who really run America don't even need to win elections. They get to run the institutions that outlast every president. El Salvador's enemy was a murderous gang of thugs. Ours is Harvard… and everyone trained by the Ivy League. MS-13 broke the law. The Ivy League writes it. And Bukele didn't do it alone. An army of Grugs gave him the legislature, and the legislature gave him the courts. Trump needs the same army. That's us. And every Grug we win makes it bigger. Grug think hard about this one. Head hurt. But Grug see now. Weak tribe say "I pray for you." Enemy laugh. Strong tribe pray. Then strong tribe pick chief.
