Patrick Stewart reveals how his attorney bought Professor X’s wheelchair at auction then made the X-Men studio pay to use it again.
After the first X-Men movie wrapped, the studio auctioned off the wheelchair Stewart used to play Professor X. One of his personal attorneys bought it and placed it behind his desk.
But when X-Men 2 came around, the studio wanted the wheelchair back.
Sir Patrick Stewart: “The studio says, ‘So, you know, we can use the chair again.’ Oops, no, we can’t, it’s been sold.”
“This attorney rented it back to the studio for a significant sum.”
Conan O’Brien: “I got to hire this guy. He sounds ruthless and good.”
Sir Patrick Stewart: “I know, he’s working for me now.”

I always think of this clip every time I see someone insist that the DCU should just be the MCU but DC.
This shouldn’t have been the THIRD DCU film but it’s still pretty good

Sorry, merge truthers... James Gunn once again confirms the Reevesverse is separate from the DCU:
"There are Elseworlds tales like Matt Reeves' The Batman, which is a very grounded, gritty crime story where there are no superpowers or metahumans or anything like that."
