Judge Carter’s order blocking DOJ ends with an ominous warning: “Eroded trust in our democracy is irreparable…If the Executive can discount votes and threaten an ongoing election due to unproven allegations, then our democracy is in danger. This court declines to be a party to such process.”

Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. Trump wants a standing ovation for passing a cognitive screening.
Trump: I'm a very high IQ person. I passed 3 cognitive tests. They’re hard. Obama couldn’t have passed them. Republicans wouldn't have passed them

Mike Rogers is running the most racist campaign in the country and will be a vote to fund Trump’s internment camps. Supporting him in the name of concerns about bigotry is ludicrous.

Trump admitted he blocked energy funding to punish blue states he lost in 2024, including $586 million for Illinois. Courts ruled it illegal. He's still blocking the money. Bipartisan permitting reform won't work if Trump ignores the law. He must reinstate the grants first.

According to the book, Kushner got Tillerson fired for a $50 million UAE payment because Tillerson supported Qatar. This panicked Qatar because they realized Kushner was a pay-to-play operative, so they bought Kushner's New York City apartments, which were in the red, hoping this would help.
This book is really damning for Kushner. It claims the UAE paid Kushner $50 million to get Rex Tillerson fired as Secretary of State.

How we all discuss players with troubling off-field histories and issues is a difficult topic. Firstly, you have the difficulty of actually knowing the truth of what happened, as distinct from the legal determination. OJ Simpson is famously 'not guilty' of a murder he then outlined in a book. Just cos a guy wasn't found criminally guilty doesn't mean he's innocent. But equally, you can't presume everybody guilty of everything they're ever accused of. False accusations do happen. All you can do is try and get as much information and detail as you can and make your own mind up by critically weighing up the evidence you have available. This is why the video in the Josh Jacobs case is huge. Video ended Ray Rice. It removed all doubt. It changed your ability to ignore it or rationalize it as a product of 'who knows what happened?' Then there's when do you talk about it? Obviously at the time of the incident, but then is there a statute of limitations? Do you have to bring it up every time that player is referenced for all eternity? I don't know that there is a good answer to that, but I do know that there's an easy differentiation between a guy who has returned from whatever it was, is under contract, and is viewed as a 'settled' matter (Deshaun Watson) and somebody like Justin Tucker, who the league was done with 10 mins ago, and a team is opting into bringing back into the fold despite this background or baggage. The Browns were under siege with questions and outrage for days when they first traded for Watson. They're not now. That's not double standards, it's the passage of time and a change in circumstances. Why is there outrage over Tucker vs these other guys? He's being signed. Now. They're opening the door to a guy, not deciding the guy they already have is worth keeping. And there WAS outrage over each of those other names, but at some point when the league decided it didn't care anymore, you make the decision to just cover them like football players again as they're under contract. Anyway, my point is just because we're not calling players suspected of being dirtbags a dirtbag every day doesn't mean it's wrong to call a guy a dirtbag when they suddenly become topical again.
I don't get the outrage over signing Justin Tucker, considering the other players in the NFL. Deshaun Watson, Josh Jacobs, Rashee Rice, Tyreek Hill, Terrion Arnold, etc., have all been accused of equally bad things--if not worse. They are either all bad or all deserve second chances.
