Reunion! The Colts are trading three-time Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
Buckner came to San Francisco as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016. A decade later, he’s back.

Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

We have signed CB Kenneth Harris to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and placed CB Cam Taylor-Britt on IR.
We have also signed CB Shemar Bartholomew and CB Natrone Brooks to the practice squad.

Fans need to stop saying “Colts would have received a 3rd round compensatory pick for Quenton Nelson”.
The Colts are rebuilding, with an absurd amount of cap space, and no 1st.
You don’t think the new GM is going to sign a couple expensive FAs that would negate the comp picks?

Fans don’t get to yell “FIRE SALE!” and then complain about the returns.
Colts are trading from a position of weakness, with a deadline approaching. You accrue as many assets as you can, and prepare for a rebuild.
Luckily unlike baseball no team has to be declared when entering in the HOF. The ceremonial 1 day contract is doubtful. Probable ring of honor when he enters the HOF.

The Seahawks owe Quenton Nelson the remaining $9.777 million on his contract for 2026 and he's set to be a free agent in March.
Seattle has traded for players on expiring contracts before -- including Leonard Williams and Rasheed Shahid -- and gotten deals done later.
Trade! The Colts are sending eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.

Thank you for everything Big Q. Legend. 🥲
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

You know it’s bad when @ColtsFanCole hasn’t posted his weekly “24 hour rule, I’m no longer mad and onto the next opponent”
This’ll take more than 24 hours for me 😂
