Great talking to @NatBullard about the infrastructure investments we're making at @ComEd to build the digital grid of the future. We're using technologies that help us increase grid utilization and potentially put downward pressure on electric bills for our customers. 🎙️: halcyon.io/nameplate/gil-qui…
From my Nameplate podcast chat with @GQenergy: @ComEd lays fiber and buys spectrum to improve data backhaul from its electrical network. And it's all part of a century+ old dream for utility operators: ever-higher capacity utilization of fixed assets. Video:

A stronger grid requires innovation. Congratulations on this exciting milestone, Richardson Electronics.
October is National Manufacturing Month, and I can't think of a better place to celebrate than at Richardson Electronics and speaking with the company's EVP, Greg Peloquin. A big win for Illinois: Richardson is advancing one of the state's largest commercially manufactured battery storage systems, supporting a stronger grid and more jobs in northern Illinois. Thank you to state legislators Representative Dan Ugaste, Representative @JeffKeicher, Kane County Board member Richard Williams and Village of Elburn Mayor Jeff Walter for joining us and for your support advancing manufacturing in northern Illinois. spr.ly/6014BHD15i

Earlier today, a loose Mylar balloon caused a power outage that affected 300 customers in Chicago, including Cook County Hospital’s Medical Examiner Building and the Chicago 311 Center, whose service has since been restored. Loose balloons can travel farther than you think and can drift into power lines in seconds. There have been 153 power outages caused by Mylar balloons in northern Illinois this year. Keeping balloons secured helps protect your neighbors and your community. 🎈Remember: Tie them tight! Keep your lights bright!

When you're storing 1.2 million square feet of perishable food, you better have a grid that delivers nation-leading reliability! Earlier this week, I joined Pamela Lopez-Fettes, CEO of @GrowthDimension, to celebrate the latest economic development in Belvidere with a new state-of-the-art cold storage center. This is just the latest example of how @ComEd's grid is powering economic growth across the region. Thank you to our ComEd crews and contractors for building a world-class substation, while keeping safety front-of-mind. I also want to thank Shayne Wahlmeier, the @Walmart team and our state legislators Senator @SteveStadelman and Representative Dave Vella. spr.ly/6011BGNpAR
