This is also what football is all about. Appreciate it!

24 hours after the launch of the campaign, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time and made the effort to contribute to this cause. Every donation, regardless of its size, is a meaningful act of solidarity and trust. This is particularly important at a time when many people are facing their own financial difficulties, amid economic uncertainty and rising costs of fuel and essential goods. I feel it is important to provide an update and, above all, to be as transparent as possible about the situation and the needs that may lie ahead. In the worst-case scenario, what does it actually cost to live in hiding for an indefinite period of time, and to deal with everything that comes with it? Honestly, I don't know. The maximum target of the campaign is merely indicative. It reflects the uncertainty surrounding the situation and the fact that, at this stage, it is impossible to know how long this may last or what the total cost will ultimately be. Living in hiding is not simply a matter of finding somewhere to stay. There are accommodation, food, transportation, documentation, communication and other basic living expenses to consider, all of which become considerably more complicated when normal life is no longer possible. One thing, however, is certain, it will not be cheap. That is why your support, no matter how small, can be truly crucial. When we do not know how long this situation will last, every contribution helps provide some stability and makes it possible to deal with whatever comes next. There is also another important matter that needs to be taken into consideration. The legal costs associated with the Football Leaks proceedings in Portugal. At this stage, the figures I am dealing with are: Case 6255/15.9TDLSB: a minimum of €19,078 in compensation claims. Case 1178/19.5TELSB: a minimum of €1,000,000 in compensation claims should the acquittal be overturned. Case 456/20.5TELSB: the legal costs remain undetermined, as the case is still under investigation in Portugal. These are significant amounts, and they help put the financial reality of the situation into perspective. These are not abstract figures, they concern legal proceedings that continue to have very real financial consequences. Everything is being handled with the greatest possible transparency and in coordination with my legal team. Thank you to everyone who has contributed financially, shared the campaign, helped spread the word, sent a message, or simply chosen not to remain indifferent. Not everyone can help a great deal, but when many people contribute what they can, even in small amounts, the collective impact can be enormous. Every contribution matters. And right now, it truly matters!

On Wednesday, just hours after the verdict officially confirming Manchester City’s guilt, the Commission responsible for Portugal's witness protection programme informed me of its decision to terminate my participation in the programme and withdraw my police protection, thereby knowingly placing me in a life-threatening situation. Given these circumstances, I have no alternative but to relocate, within the next few days, to an undisclosed location for an indefinite period of time, due to the multiple death threats I have received and the serious risk of an assassination attempt against me. For this reason, I have just set up a GoFundMe campaign and I am asking for everyone's support to help me survive this serious situation created by the Portuguese State, which, as I have already stated, has knowingly decided to place my life at risk. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thanks to everyone who continues to support Football Leaks, and I can give everyone one guarantee: the fight will most certainly continue! gofundme.com/f/help-save-rui…
