On this day, 17 years ago: Michael Levin was killed.
Michael was born in Pennsylvania in 1984. He was very passionate about Israel, and his love for Israel was shaped by his grandfather who was a Holocaust survivor and by his parents.
Michael's motto, "You can’t fulfill your dreams unless you dare to risk it all", led him to chase his dream and make Aliyah in order to join the IDF and serve as a lone soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade.
On August 1, 2006, Michael, who was only 22, was killed in the Battle of Bint Jbeil during the Second Lebanon War.
