Cloak of Dusk
Lovely evening,
The Sun is setting lazily,
Wearing the Cloak of Dusk.

Longing for days long faded

The world’s savor has grown old with the autumn grass,
yet this longing cannot be severed as summer flowers fall.

An eShop's Fable: After starting yesterday, many were #cheering. Yet he was aware some cheers were of relief - never to be seen again. You can usually tell the level of love by the ferocity of hate. The two go hand in hand.

If I start believing
I am happy, dafter,
You can hear me
Cheering, cheering
From the rafters
Today I can remember,
What life means to me,
Not a storm disaster,
Laughter in the rain..

Red maples burn like living fire
along the quiet, winding way;
their scarlet leaves, a bright curiosity,
set autumn’s secluded path ablaze.
The emerald brook, soft as silk,
curves gently round the sacred cave;
a silken ribbon, myriad of colors, cool and chill,
guards the grotto’s misty nave.
Thus fire and water, red and green,
meet where the mortal world grows thin—
a path of flame leads inward, unseen,
to where the silk-bound heavens begin.
Cheering Thursday 🌹

Widower’s Street
Our dog returned without me from the walk,
whining at the door; and you, who yanked it open,
looked around, and looked behind, and called the Bill,
as if the dark outside had anything to tell.
And the four seasons turned, and you moved on,
and I have watched you pass your nights,
watched you cheering Got Talent juries on the box,
beside the rich, the beer-bellied, the living man,
whose ears are never filled with your disgust,
who never once was told your weary no,
whose warm hands take what I was denied.
There will be time, you thought, there will be time;
and there was time, and you filled it well.
But I am returning from that walk.
The thirty-first is coming, I shall come,
and I shall not be answered with your no—
even if I always took one, being shy—
and I shall hold you with my hands, so cold,
and “no,” my love, is a word you own no more.
Our dog begins to whine.

He was smitten with her,
head over heels in love,
He couldn't go a week,
without sneaking a glance of her.
She pined for him in private,
Her heart yearned for his touch,
Every time he spoke to her,
She could only hear divine music.
He was wary of his friends,
They were the rowdy variety,
He wanted to avoid their ire,
and so, he avoided her presence totally.
She was a strong and independent woman,
with everyone looking upto her,
She was worried of showing her love,
lest everyone consider her a dependent parasite.
Frequent quarrels and arguments,
They were like Tom and Jerry,
but their hearts brimmed with love,
and it was about to overflow.
One day, it started doing just that,
and they couldn't hold it back after that,
The dam had finally burst,
and it swept them both off their feet.
She landed herself into a problem,
and amplified it trying to correct it,
It was taking her downhill fast,
and she couldn't arrest her slide.
He stepped in at the right time,
and gave her a supporting shoulder.
He held the reins of the chariot,
and helped steady the wild horse.
She didn't feel dependent,
rather she felt empowered by him,
Their gazes locked with each other,
for what felt like an eternity.
The ice broke and then they started to speak,
It went for days together,
Everything they had kept hidden inside their heart,
came pouring out at last.
The depth of their love stunned them,
and they felt its insurmountable power,
They feared it would embarrass them,
but it ended up empowering them.
They didn't have to hide it anymore,
they walked in the open hand clasped together,
There is no shame in love,
The only shame is for those who deny love.

¡A escribir, Poevivientes!
Sipnosis:
