10/24 DAZN - Smith vs. Puello Preview
>Smith and Puello land almost the same number of punches per round, 13.8 to 14.7, but they get there in opposite ways.
>Puello is the more accurate man at 31.4% to Smith's 27.7%, and he does it on 46.8 punches thrown against Smith's 49.8, with both below the 55.9 junior welterweight average.
>The jab is the clearest contrast. Smith throws 25.1 a round and lands only 3.1 at 12.4%, well under the 17.6% divisional mark, while Puello throws six fewer and lands more, 4.4 at 22.8%.
>Smith's edge is power accuracy, 43.3% against Puello's 37.3%, and body work, with 29.8% of his landed punches going downstairs, above the 28.8% CompuBox average and comfortably clear of Puello's 22.3%.
>What separates them defensively is traffic rather than accuracy: opponents land power shots at nearly the same clip on both, 34.4% against Smith and 34.3% against Puello, but Smith has only been hit with 6.4 a round while Puello absorbs 11.4.
>The caveat belongs on the comparison itself. Both sets are three fights, both include Matias, while Puello faced the better opposition of the two.
10/24 DAZN- Foster vs. Navarrete Preview
>Foster and Navarrete bring near-identical accuracy to a fight where almost nothing else matches.
>Navarrete throws 60 punches per round to Foster's 45.2, above the 55.8 junior lightweight average while Foster sits well below it, and that volume turns a dead heat on percentage, 27.3% to 28.1%, into 16.4 landed per round against 12.7.
>The split is in what each man throws. Foster is the jabber, landing 4.6 per round at 19.5% against Navarrete's 3.2 at 14.7%, both men throwing about 22 a round.
>Navarrete lives on power shots, 38.3 thrown per round to Foster's 21.6, and lands 13.3 of them at 34.7%.
>Foster is the sharper power puncher at 37.5% but throws 17 fewer. Navarrete also works downstairs more, 22.4% of his landed punches to Foster's 17.4%, though both trail the 28.8% CompuBox average.
>Defense may decide it: Foster's opponents land just 20% overall and 6.9 power punches per round, while Navarrete's land 25.2% and 9.7.
>Foster's nine fights are all at 130, while Navarrete's eleven span 126 and 130, so some of his volume comes from the lighter weight.
congrats @AlBernstein ...well deserved induction

1.5M just on IG alone. Similar numbers on TikTok and YouTube. And this is during one of the slowest periods I can remember in the sport.
I don’t toot my own horn too often but I love our community and the content me and @ChrisAlgieri create... More to come 🚀
