Chicago is behind the curve when it comes to opening streets to people during this crisis. Public transit is taking a massive hit & may not be sustainable. The time is now to open our streets for people to bike, walk and run. #bikeCHI
If @chicagosmayor & @ChicagoDOT saw biking as a valid form of transportation, an alternative bike route would have been created for cyclists impacted by the lakefront trail closure. Our BikeLaneUprising.com maps show safe alternative bike lanes simply do not exist.
