Epic Games is officially working to bring Fortnite to Linux. The new Epic Games Launcher Preview is coming to Linux, and Epic says Fortnite will eventually be playable through it. The main obstacle has always been Easy Anti-Cheat, Epic is now rebuilding EAC for Linux. The new EAC Linux v2 will use Linux security features such as measured boot, kernel lockdown, IOMMU, and eBPF instead of a Windows-style kernel-level system. Epic is also working with Linux distribution developers to ensure the system works across different versions. Once enough major distributions are supported, Fortnite will come to Linux.
