GOG is getting into game publishing.
The newly independent DRM-free storefront has teamed up with indie publisher Retrovibe to launch Retrovibe by GOG, a new initiative focused on helping indie devs bring their games to PC and consoles.
The partnership will handle things like funding, marketing, creator and media outreach, and getting games certified for release.
The first games are already on the way:
> Cop Bastard, releasing October 29
> Project Warlock: Lost Chapters, the third game in the boomer-shooter series
These won’t be GOG exclusives. Both games are also coming to Steam.

A former BioWare employee claims the studio was asked to remove a flag from a presentation for the canceled Mass Effect Universe project because it looked too much like the LGBTQIA+ flag.
The employee said the new management wasn’t convinced by the project:
“I think the video proposals we presented to the new management weren’t convincing.”
They also said BioWare being known for inclusive storytelling “didn’t help to dispel the skepticism.”
One specific example involved a flag in a presentation video. The team was asked to remove it because it was:
“looking too much like the LGBTQIA+ flag”
The reason given was reportedly:
“not to offend.”

You can tweak crimson deserts camera settings so extensively that it makes the game feel completely different. Try far camera distance but low fov (visual range) to make everything seem more cinematic. Suddenly distant objects and mountains appear massive and epic. Moon included. Even trees look imposing.
Swap to high FOV / close camera distance to make it feel more tailored to combat etc, and make everything a little easier to handle, albeit with a loss of cinematic flair.
Turn off follow cam settings to make character movement independent from camera to give it additional replay value/ experience variety.

🚨 BREAKING: Trans-identified male, Hadyn James Dollery, 19, was just convicted of threatening to go on a “murder spree” and cannibalize one of the victims at John Champe High School in Loudoun County, VA.
The thing that never happens just keeps on happening.
After his boyfriend broke up with him, he sent Discord messages threatening to kill his ex, both families, and students at the school. Investigators found a box cutter in his backpack and searches about blood. He faces up to 25 years in prison.
This is the same Loudoun County that previously covered up sexual assaults in girls’ bathrooms while pushing gender ideology. Schools keep prioritizing feelings and activism over basic child safety.
