Thank you to all media partners for showing up and helping us bring awareness to important safety improvements in Maryvale. 🚶‍♀️🚴 Our goal is to make Maryvale a safer, more pedestrian-friendly, and cyclist-friendly village — because protecting our children, families, and neighbors is always a top priority. Since 2021, we’ve been building our Cool Corridor along 55th Ave. from Camelback to Indian School: 🌳 3,300+ trees planted to expand our shade canopy and cool our streets 🚶 New walking paths for residents and students ♻️ Trash cans, recycle bins, and dog waste stations 🚲 Upcoming bike lanes connecting to the Grand Canalscape Today, we added even more safety features: ⚡ Circular Flashing Beacons to increase driver awareness and encourage yielding at pedestrian crossings ⬆️ Speed tables (raised crosswalks) to slow vehicles and make pedestrians more visible Maryvale has some of the city’s most dangerous intersections — but together, we’re taking action to change that. Let’s keep working to make our streets safer, cooler, and more connected for everyone. 💛 @UnivisionAZ @ConectaArizona @TelemundoAZ @12News #MaryvaleStrong #CoolCorridor #SaferStreets #CommunityFirst #District5
