Early this morning (about 4 AM local time), a M4.0 occurred near Chandler, OK. The light shaking was widely felt across both OKC and Edmond. It occurred adjacent to several injection wells that have been injecting and lower volumes in recent years (1/n)

🧵9/n EVERY SINGLE SAMPLE we took in Antarctica as part of our microplastic research contained plastic microfibres. I found plastic from tourists in the penguin colonies. We even found a big piece of plastic on the seabed.

Elementary school children shouldn't have to lobby for laws to keep them safe in their school buildings. Grown-up legislators should keep them safe. *We* should keep them safe.
We are back at the Capitol supporting our elementary students and families in their demand for safe schools

A bill worth serious consideration given the new report from IPCC ☀️👇🔥
@JBoylan4RI has introduced a bill that would require most new construction in the state to include solar panels as part of the initial construction. “Every time a new building is built without solar panels, I see it as a missed opportunity. With energy costs going up and the clock ticking on preventing the worst impacts of climate change, we need to get moving,” said Rep. Boylan. “We build new houses and schools and then a few years later we think to put solar panels on them. Homeowners, taxpayers and our environment would all benefit from doing things right the first time.” More info: rilegislature.gov/pressrelea…
