he’s the elizabeth holmes of football coaches. all of these things are simply happening around him and he has no explanation for any of it. but he’s also the boss
The lack of self reflection in this answer is super telling and is really sad frankly.
Head coaches grade things all the time. Their players. Each week in practice and in their games. Their coaches. The game plans and the in-game performance. The prospects they are looking at. On and on.
And any GOOD leader is always looking at himself and grading himself. The best ones even hire outside people to look and grade them with fresh eyes.
This program can’t go anywhere with a leader who refuses to look at himself with a critical lens. The gifts he had as a player that allowed him to not grade himself did not follow him into coaching. His physical gifts can’t help him in coaching.
Any leader tasked with evaluating and grading other people should take the time to sit down and evaluate and grade himself just like everyone else.
You can’t get better without an honest look at who you are, how you lead, and what role did you have in the negative parts of what is happening to your team.
Self reflection. Introspection. Find the places for needed improvement. Put a grade on it.

I just increased the fundraising goal for Samuel Sey's family. It's still unclear how long this process will take, and his wife and small children will need help making ends meet while he's unable to work.

I would watch a TV show that’s just conservatives trying to guess the percentages of things for money and never making any money.
In a new poll, 15% of Americans said they believe between 1 and 5% of NCAA athletes are transgender.
14% think between it's between 6 and 25%.
Meanwhile, an NCAA spokesperson confirmed that the current number is "effectively" zero

A big barrier to entry into hard right wing politics as currently constructed is that you have to be sexually attracted to cartoon children to be in the club. If they loosen up some of these rules, I think their movement could see more success.

So many of these people won’t vote for him because he’s Hindu, and saying like “he’ll remake Ohio in his image” could not tell you the first thing about Hinduism or what that remake would look like, other than immigrants working here on H1B’s. Just say you’re racist, man. We know
Ohio votes for governor next Tuesday, and the choice is Vivek Ramaswamy or Amy Acton.
I live in Cincinnati so I'll be voting in this election (my church is in KY, just across the river).
Some men in my church have been having a lively discussion about it. I’ve had friends around the country reach out to ask who I plan to vote for, and I’ve been on the fence. But I've thought it through and come to a decision.
There are four options.
Option 1: Don’t vote in the governor’s race. That’s childish and irresponsible. We live in a country where we have a voice and should steward it wisely. Grown ups don’t always like the choices we’re given, but we don’t pout like babies as a result. Grow up, make a choice, and stand by it.
Option 2: Vote for Amy Acton. Hard pass. I haven’t voted for a Democrat in my life and I’m not about to start now.
That leaves us with two remaining options to consider.
Option 3: Vote for the third party candidate, Don Kissick. I call this the “Principled Option.” This one is more intriguing. One man in my church suggested that we should regard Vivek’s candidacy for governor as a resume builder as he positions himself for another presidential run. If he wins this race, that legitimizes him as a serious contender for the Presidency and minimizes his perceived negatives as a Hindu.
Voting third party sends a message that we don’t want either Acton or Vivek. If Acton wins, she’ll be a hamstrung governor with limited ability to get much done because the statehouse is run by Republicans who will stop her.
Option 4: Hold our noses and Vote for Vivek. And do this despite the fact that he’s a Hindu who would use political power to remake Ohio in his image. I call this the “Practical Option.”
Frankly, I don’t like any of these options. But the hard reality is this: either Acton or Vivek will be the next governor of Ohio. Take your pick.
The Principled Option is appealing because I’m not supporting someone who worships pagan gods and wants to import millions of people into Ohio using H-1B visas. Vivek doesn’t see Ohio as a particular people but as an economic zone. The Principled Option would be playing the long game, taking an “L” this cycle to send a message that men like Vivek are unelectable.
The Practical Option is appealing for no other reason than to prevent Acton from gaining power. As Ohio health director she closed businesses, schools, and other activities that caused a lot of harm, especially to kids. It was especially infuriating to see how these decisions harmed kids. We’ve all seen how the Democratic Party has been pulled hard left the last few years, and we can’t afford even four years of an ineffective Democrat governorship.
It’s an ugly choice but I believe I’ll vote for Vivek Ramaswamy. Here’s why.
I believe playing the “long game” is a luxury we cannot afford. We aren’t playing with action figures here. Whoever is governor will actually govern and enact policies that affect people’s lives. And I believe Acton’s policies will be worse than Vivek’s. I’d rather oppose a Hindu who wants to appeal to conservatives than a liberal Democrat who despises my existence.
And don’t believe the line that a Republican statehouse will keep Acton in check. We’ve seen what she did with executive power when she had it. The lockdowns didn’t come from the legislature. A governor appoints the people who run state agencies, sets their priorities, and holds the veto pen. Hamstrung is not the same as harmless.
The days of peace-time elections are over. Every election is now a war-time election. The results of elections are not mere matters of policy, but matters of survival. Amy Acton is a leftist, and the left has increasingly demonstrated their willingness to crush anything that stands in their way. Democrats have gotten increasingly unhinged, irrational, and draconian. The Democratic Party is running open socialists and Islamists around the country. They cannot be reasoned with, only defeated.
The best time to take the Principled Option is in the primaries. That’s when you send a message. Vote for what you love in the primary. Vote for what you can tolerate in the general. November is the time to live in reality and take the Practical Option.
So I’m going to vote for Vivek next Tuesday, despite my misgivings about him, and despite the advantages a victory might give him in future elections. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
In the meantime, the most important electoral calculation is stopping the left. My kids and future grandkids deserve that.
Yeah man I totally feel sorry for your good buddy getting deported after reading this. Post that gofundme link again! You guys are just such outstanding people that I can’t imagine why anyone is laughing at all of you right now
What happened with immigration enforcement is that ICE stopped going aggressively after the foreign gang members and rapists populating the Communist-run inner cities, because feral leftists kept trying to commit suicide by cop and creating PR problems for the administration in an election year.
But ICE still wants to keep its numbers up so the President can make good on his promises.
So what do they do? They go after the low-hanging fruit: people who aren't hiding, who won't resist, who have families and jobs, and who can be picked up on paperwork irregularities.
A good way to keep the numbers up, sure, and the law's the law. But we're still left with hordes of hostile foreigners taking over American cities, terrorizing Americans, and acting as a source of free votes for the commies running these sanctuary cities. A major problem that still needs to be fixed.

None of you people cared about fair treatment or due process for anyone snatched or killed by ICE until it was your favorite token podcaster. You can all eat shit
Most of the people I see celebrating Samuel Sey’s potential deportation fall into one of two categories:
Right-wing racists who secretly dislike anyone who wasn’t born an American with white skin.
Progressives so desperate for a hypocrisy gotcha that they’ve confused supporting immigration enforcement with forfeiting your right to fair treatment under the law.
Neither group seems particularly concerned with justice. They’re just delighted to see someone they dislike suffer.
I know conservatives, and conservative evangelicals in particular, are the dumbest creatures walking the earth, but pretending that Amy Acton is far left is should get you thrown in an institution

Yes, happy to explain. I don’t think it’s wise to let your opinion of an entire immigration policy be dictated by outlier cases, tragic cases, or sad stories. I also support the second amendment even when there are tragic cases of gun violence.
I support ICE and I believe mass deportations are necessary. I believe in law and order and I believe in justice. So does Samuel Sey. I don’t fault ICE for doing its job. I also believe in helping friends when you can, and also believe that mercy is sometimes appropriate. I know Samuel—he’s a good man of integrity. He has made good faith effort to file the right paperwork and comply with the law. He didn’t deceive or purposefully break the law. He would make an excellent American citizen. I hope he can become one someday.
There are many other similar cases, I’m sure. It doesn’t change my opinion. All we can do is support justice as well as we can, and extend mercy where appropriate to the best of our ability. You might find this inconsistent, but I don’t. It’s just part of living in a messy world.
Actually he doesn’t share any of my values so fuck him and his family. That’s how this works, right?
It seems like a lot of people are bringing up "Toxic Empathy," and "Suicidal Empathy," with regards to Samuel Sey.
I can tell these people have never read the books.
Allowing people to immigrate to our country who hate liberty and freedom is suicided/toxic empathy.
Allowing people to immigrate to our country who hate the laws is suicided/toxic empathy.
Allowing people to immigrate who hate free speech, equal rights, or equal protection under the law is suicidal/toxic empathy.
Allowing people to immigrate who do not want to assimilate to language, laws, or cultural norms is suicidal/toxic empathy.
Allowing people to immigrate who are at high risk to hurting citizens because of ideological or criminal background is suicidal/toxic empathy.
Allowing people to immigrate to our country who will in no way add to our society and only take resources is suicidal/ toxic empathy.
Samuel Sey does the opposite of all of these things. He is a law loving, married (to an American), Christian father, who works and cares for his family. From his past statements, it is obvious that he believed he was doing things the legal way. I will continue to pray for him and his family as every other freedom loving Christian American should do as well.
