A visibly emotional Micah Nori said his first game as an NBA head coach exceeded his wildest dreams. He talked about how much it meant that his 84-year-old dad and his 82-year-old mom flew out from Middletown, Ohio, to be here tonight.

It cannot be...
Excited to report that @joesimonssays, @GMottaTV and I will be working together on The Rip City Wrap up after most @trailblazers games this season on KUNP/@KATUNews. Sometimes it will be all three of us -- such as after the opener versus the Suns -- sometimes just two of us. Either way, tap in after the post-game show with @brookeolzendam!

It's been a running joke -- and it is a joke -- for a few seasons now that Shaedon doesn't pass, presumably because it's the only thing that ever gets a rise out of him.
Robert Williams III jokingly says Shaedon Sharpe is the only selfish player on the Portland Trail Blazers: "The only selfish person on this team is Shaedon [Sharpe]. No, I'm joking, I'm joking. But you know, we were just talking about sacrifices for the team. One win, we all win. I feel like that's the biggest goal. We understand that, especially the late run we had last year going into the playoffs. One win, we all win. That mindset." (youtu.be/iyc189dOAI4?t=173)

We should have a 138-team playoff. But it will be a 12-game round robin format across 10 conferences based roughly on geography. Then we'll take the top 5 conference champs along with 7 at-large teams and have them play a single-elimination tournament @espn @CFBPlayoff

I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.

I can’t wrap my head around people justifying the trial basis of Travis Demers’ contract right now. The Blazers already got burned in extraordinary fashion by their “wait em out” negotiation tactic. Just hire Travis to a standard deal and end this mess. It’s a win-win for all.
