I would have loved Quenton Nelson on the Patriots, but I wasn’t trading a 3 and 5 for him.
First, it’s hard to see them paying/extending him and the Patriots already traded a future 1 and 5 for AJ Brown.
The Quenton Nelson to the Patriots dream is officially dead.
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.
Alex Cora got fired because he was smug and underachieved for years.
7 seasons in Boston:
• 1 GREAT year (2018 - his first)
• 2 last-place finishes
• 3 third-place finishes
• 1 second-place finish
He was on his way to another last place finish before Breslow cut ties.
Why did Alex Cora get fired? He thinks it came down to how the Red Sox pitched in the first month of 2026:
“Honestly, I feel like I got fired because we didn’t pitch in the month of April. As simple as that.”

With Bryce Baringer’s release, just 11 players remain from the pre-Vrabel Patriots:
Belichick Era (8): Stevenson, Douglas, Henry, Onwenu, Barmore, Elliss, Gonzalez, M. Jones
Mayo/Wolf Era (3): Maye, B. Brown, Pettus
The wait for a Patriots game after a tough loss always feels long.
The wait for a Patriots game after a tough loss on a Thursday is...brutal.
The Lions’ offensive weapons are ridiculous.
I can’t even imagine what Drake Maye would do with those.
