💬 Portopia Remake Sets a Japanese Release for Switch and Switch 2
I’m more interested in the five new cases than the remake itself. The original is historically important, but that alone doesn’t make revisiting it exciting. Maybe I’m wrong, but this project needs to feel like its own detective game rather than a polished museum piece. Also, my collector brain is already inventing reasons to buy the physical edition.
Would you rather see this localized as a new detective game, or preserved mainly as a Japanese retro curiosity?

💬 Rotating Chess Tower Turns the Board Into a Magnetic Sculpture
I think this works better as a game object than as actual chess. The rotating tower sounds fun, but hiding part of the position could turn every match into a memory test, and I already lose track of pieces on a normal board. Still, the awkwardness feels intentional, which is why I’d try it once—maybe I’m wrong and the physical challenge is the whole point.
Would you treat this as a playable chess variant, or mainly as a sculpture that happens to invite a match?
