Fellow Peaters and metabolic junkies, I've created what I've called a Pro-Metabolic Journal. It's meant to be a convenient tracking tool for people following Dr. Peat's general recommendations on dietary elements, light exposure, and body temperature/pulse tracking. Basically, a place to write down a lot of your pertinent Peaty info in one organized place.
For people new to the work of Dr. Peat, this could also serve as a guide to general recommendations he made many times. Also, a great tool for parents tracking their child's progress, which is the way I use it. I have a child whose health, I believe, was recovered by Dr. Peat's (and Broda Barnes's) work. Temperature tracking was a huge part of his recovery.
The data points in the journal are not meant to be taken as an impositional "must-do" list. I'm just hoping this will be helpful for people trying out some of Peat's ideas in their own lives to quantify their progress in whatever capacity they see fit. He has stressed the importance of tracking your biometric data quite a few times. Hopefully this can help organize that information.
After following Peat's work for a long time, I finally quit my learned-helplessness job to raise my children and attempt to be an actual human being. If anyone decides to buy my journal, I greatly appreciate the support. I appreciate you anyway, but you know what I mean. I really tried to create something of value here. I honestly hope this helps bring Peat's ideas into someone's life out there and helps them improve their situation.
I'd appreciate any feedback, if you're inclined to give it.
Photos of the interior pages are in the "From The Publisher" section on the Amazon page. I have ordered copies for myself and am very satisfied with the outcome. Thank you for reading. #RayPeat

Please check out this interview, just released, where I get into quite a bit of discussion about deuterium, my new passion.

This woman, and her book, opened my eyes almost as much as Dr. Peat. I credit her and Dr. Peat's work for saving my son's health at a critical time in his life. So happy to see her doing an interview where she won't be censored.

Final tally on weight loss is 17 lbs. in ~8 weeks without trying. Stopped for about a week for Thanksgiving when I gained 4-5 then lost it again. Probably averaged 6 days/week with the berries.
Will continue to do this but I'm starting a new experiment so results will be muddled
My supermarket finally has organic oranges back in stock (I haven't seen them for months). Marmalade is back on the menu. 🍊
Still doing this. Lost 16 lbs so far. I've changed nothing else and I'm not trying to lose weight (grasping at straws to fix a long-standing skin issue).
Been losing ~2 lbs. per week doing this. I've eaten "Peaty" for a long time and my weight has remained extremely stable for years, so this is an interesting development.
For the last week, I've been blending up 3 cups of frozen berries for breakfast. Interesting effect of this is I lose all food cravings for the day. Completely gone. Without the underlying nutritional insufficiency, apparently, it's become effortless to ignore poor food choices.
1 day you will change your toddler's diaper, and they'll realize there's a moment where they have no diaper on and you also aren't holding onto them. What ensues will be some of the most joyous seconds of blissful chaos you'll ever experience. Must be what early America felt like
In honor of Constitution Day, I've been going through this playlist with my son:

There's been so many positive effects from homeschooling that I wasn't expecting. Now that I've taken the plunge, I feel stupid for ever worrying about it.
Today was my first day homeschooling my oldest. I can already tell this is going to be 1 of the most positively impactful decisions I've ever made. I've had an overwhelming sense of "this is how it's supposed to be" all day - an old, unexpected emotion of a restored natural order
Been switching my son over to only nursing at night and eating solid food throughout the day. Trying to give him eggs every morning and noticed something. He used to eat them, no problem. Then he stopped eating them altogether. I found that if I give him a decent serving...
