People who are ripping up Allan today need to go outside and touch grass. He's an insanely talented designer who understands the game. What he's built is a fun and engaging content play that attracts clients to hire him for his services, where he has to deal with all of the aforementioned pressures of being a designer. It's a smart top-of-funnel strategy and actually shows his ability to think quickly and generate ideas. It's clearly working, he has tons of high-level clients like Target and Star Wars. I'd bet he has a hit-list of clients he WANTS to work for and uses this as a form of outreach. What if instead of complaining, you created?
