How are you feeling the closer to the finish line you get, mate? Must be such a huge mix of emotions. My little boy has watched your journey from day one and is both inspired, as well as disappointed that I can’t grow my beard as impressively as you 🫡

Right girls and boys, we have a bit of a problem. We haven’t been able to get visas for Algeria, and if we don’t get them, then it’s game over for project africa.
I’ve been running now for 278 days, covered nearly 12,000km through 13 countries and raised over £140k for charity in my attempt to become the first person ever to run the entire length of Africa. But right now all of that is totally hanging on whether we can get permission from Algeria to let us cross in through this border with Mauritania.
This is the only option we have left so, Algeria, if you’re listening, please reach out to me on my contact [email protected]
Anything you need from us please let me know. It would be an absolute privilege to visit your beautiful country.
To everyone following the journey online please help us out by sharing this and helping us get this seen by the appropriate people in Algeria.

Today’s remembrance post: Many of us feel lost, broken, abandoned this week😞. Let down by the country we fought and many died for. But we went to war for those to the left and the right of us. We have a common bond, that need to serve, to make a difference that burns inside us all. 🔥That does not extinguish when we take our uniforms off. It’s still in there, and no amount of protesting, lack of support or insults will change what WE ARE. 👊We served, we still serve, we are FAMILY. ❤️No matter where u stand on the 11th of 11th, know that we are all by each others side. Shoulder to invisible shoulder. 💪Brothers and sisters in arms. An invisible bond that cannot be broken. #lestweforget #remembrance @PoppyLegion

I have no problem with @GaryLineker using free speech to make his points. However, when it comes to #RemembranceSunday his comments show a lack of understanding.
#Remembrance weekend is for the country, and for those of us who served, to remember those who never came back with gratitude and reflection.
I particularly remember one man, a dear friend of mine, who was tortured by terrorists, his body dismembered and his parents died never knowing where he lay.
People can protest on any other day of the year, but on this day of days we owe those who served to protect us and our freedoms this one quiet moment of love, memory and prayer.
If virtue signalling has a time and a place, neither are on #RemembranceSunday.
