It was a close one with Vivek Ramaswamy, Ken Paxton, Mike Collins, and Max Miller all good selections, but I'm ready to award the worst candidate of 2026 award on behalf of Election Twitter: Roger Marshall
- He has zero paid campaign staffers and is using his Senate staffers
- He allegedly went rogue and ignored his (unpaid) staffers who refused to run his disastrous closing ad by sending it to the media
- He's also been completely paralyzed by his medical bill scandal and has acted like it's not a big deal
- He's made amazing statements like the "economy is the best it's ever been" and has supported the Iran War
- He's had a complete collapse in the polls in the last 2 months, going from a 75% favorite to the prohibitive underdog in a campaign collapse that has never been seen before
- Finally, he's just undoubtedly been the laziest and most overconfident candidate of the year
