No one speaks about the resentment you have towards yourself after you didn’t listen to your gut

You must think we're stupid like the average wignat and you can just rewrite history.
>Be Haiti
>Kill your enslavers
>Establish a free black state
>Be forced to pay your enslavers reparations for the next hundred years.
>Get invaded by the US and have your entire Treasury looted.
Because at least in the American mind, black or otherwise, nothing else exists outside of the US, which is why conversely they believe everyone outside the US is constantly thinking about them. They don't realize there is so much culture in the west Indies, that alone is enough

The average Caribbean person, believe it or not, has almost no thoughts about Black Americans, unless they're watching media staring Black Americans, or just a Black person with an American accent. When many Caribbean ppl think of the USA, it's white ppl that's conjured to mind.

Most men forget that the goal isn’t money.
The goal is to spend your day as you wish.

This whole “you flee your homeland” argument is so weird.
The only reason you don’t flee America is because it’s the richest and most powerful country on earth.
That doesn’t make you specially brave or remarkable.
If America was like the average third world country you too would be an immigrant in some richer country.
You don’t have any special resilience that others lack.
The guy who signed for up to 900k DRAM wafers a month, about 40% of global output, is lecturing us about DRAM allocation.
The RAM in my computer is already paid for. Running a model on it takes nothing from anyone. Your data centers are a big reason RAM prices went crazy.
By that logic nobody should buy a car or a house either. We should all just rent.
A model on my machine can't be repriced, rate-limited, nerfed, or shut off when you change your mind. My data never leaves my desk. That's control you'd rather keep for yourself.
Local inference is a revenue problem for you.

Yooooh!! She is right. The consequences of an impoverished education do not end in the classroom. They follow people into their politics, their culture and even their understanding of themselves.
Bruh. Ask any comedian, musician or screenwriter how often they are told to simplify their work. Make it easier. Make it familiar. Above all, do not demand too much of the audience.
There is something deeply revealing about a society in which the capacity to think is treated as an inconvenience.
An audience accustomed to intellectual passivity becomes easier to entertain through recognition than discovery. Give people something that affirms their identity, flatters their prejudices or confirms their grievances. THEY WILL MISTAKE THE PLEASURE OF AGREEMENT FOR THE EXPERIENCE OF UNDERSTANDING.
People only think it's propaganda if it does not affirm what they already believe. This applies no matter what part of the political spectrum they are.
It's not just the industry though. Even the audience participates in it. We demand originality while remaining suspicious of anything that unsettles our convictions.
The danger is, a population that grows accustomed to having its beliefs constantly affirmed may gradually lose the habit of examining them. The same person who cannot tolerate an uncomfortable idea in a film may struggle to tolerate one in public life.
It's not that people have lost the capacity to think. It is that we are building a culture in which they are increasingly encouraged not to exercise it.
Anyway... if you have read this far, congratulations! In an age when your attention is constantly being bought, interrupted and redirected, the ability to give an argument the time it deserves is a small but meaningful act of intellectual independence.

George Orwell worried that a shrinking vocabulary would eventually produce a shrinking range of thought.
It is difficult to think a nuanced thought with a blunt language.
I released a tool called apkManager meant to enable downloading android APKs on Linux.
The next step is to build an application later analogous to Wine for Windows, allowing android applications to simply run on Linux as if they were native applications just like what Wine does.

Holiday tip for you:
If your grandparents ask you what you want for Christmas, tell them you want them to write down all of their recipes. The ones they keep in their head, and probably have never put to paper.
It will cost them nothing, and be the best gift of your life.
