This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP. 🎥 The Guardian

Devon MPs laughed when we said we wanted our own deal. They said it wasn’t possible. They said the only way was a Devonwall Mayor sat in Plymouth. Well we’re getting our own deal. When Cornwall states our nationhood with confidence, we cannot be ignored!
🚨 〓〓 Cautiously optimistic news for Cornwall today: In his first statement to the Commons, the new PM Andy Burnham has committed to a proper devolution deal for the Duchy, with OR WITHOUT an elected Mayor.

One of the Andy Burnham's flagship pledges is to push decision-making out of Westminster and give regional mayors more power. But Cornwall poses a problem. Sky's @LucyJMcDaid visited the southwest to understand the PM's dilemma.⬇️

Nearly 70,000 people marched through Palma, Mallorca, on Sunday against mass tourism, gentrification and a model that is making housing increasingly inaccessible and, as elsewhere in Europe, putting pressure on local communities and their language. #ELEN2026

Good article on #Kernewek and the ongoing language recovery effort - all on a shoestring budget. Considering the amount of economic, social & well-being benefits language revitalisation brings to Kernow we need to see proper financial support from UK Govt theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

All support to @annagrangetown @Plaid_Cymru, vital that Welsh (+Scottish, Irish, Cornish) children are taught their own history, culture & language, also an obligation under Art. 12 of the Framework Convention for National Minorities, ratified by the UK but not fully implemented.
Every pupil deserves to learn their nation’s history as part of the Welsh curriculum. This Plaid Cymru government knows all too well how Welsh history is not only important to who we are, but how we build Wales for the future. 💚
