BioWare's demise is sad, but after three very poorly received games and years of mismanagement - are we surprised? KOTOR, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2 and Jade Empire are some of my favourite games. Who were they even making games for in the end? It wasn't RPG fans.
Pssst, hey! You! Do you know Corpse Kings: The Silent Abyss is out right now? Pick it up today at the Special Launch price before it's too late! 🏴☠️

Guys, I can't quite put my finger on it but I got a bad feeling Wizards of the Coast doesn't have the best interests of Old School D&D players in mind. 🤔
Love this very nautical themed cover for Dungeon Magazine Issue 66 (1998). I especially love the green title. 🌊
I love making TTRPG's in the indie space because these are the games I want to see in the world. I want to provide value to my customers and to uphold the design ethos of traditionalist and Old School gamers. The old ways deserve to be remembered. 🎲
Every time someone says "B-b-but Wizards celebrated Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson in the 50th Anniversary book" - send them this image.
Goodbye, BioWare. Things have not been right there for a long time, but they made some of the best RPGs ever. Veilguard was an incredibly lacking game, sadly. Sad to see people lose their jobs, but this place has been dead for years.
God, please no. Just leave it alone, there isn't a company today that could do this game justice. 🫣
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines could be getting a remaster.
A new rumor claims the 2004 cult-classic RPG is being brought back as a remaster, not a remake.
Leaker Daimler_KKnD said:
“I can confirm that it is in the works. NOT a remake, but a remaster, with some caveats. That’s all I can say.”
The rumor also comes from industrial metal band Genitorturers, who reportedly told fans at a recent concert that a new Bloodlines project was in development.
If true I hope it’s nor a remaster for the modern audience
Imagine it's 1999 and Chris Avellone is doing press for Planescape: Torment. Imagine he does an interview and says "Actually, this game isn't for Planescape Fans. It's not for D&D fans at all. I don't make games for them". That's what the last decade has been like. It's insane.
Now this is an amazing Halloween cover! Dungeon Magazine Issue 67 from 1998. Did you have this one? 🎃
All this Critical Role talk has got me thinking: why isn't there a high production valued, gameplay focused version of this for Grognards? Dice cameras, great sets, charismatic everyday players and as little theater kid shit as possible. I might have to remedy this one day.🤔
If you like the sound of this, you'd love my new Pirate themed expansion. Check it out here:

My biggest takeaway with creating Corpse Kings and engaging with this amazing community is anything created for everybody is actually created for nobody. Trying to please everyone, impacts no one. Having standards, preferences and tastes is what makes something special. 🎲
What will this Wayward Pirate find in The Drowned Chapel? A story directly from the pages of Corpse Kings: The Silent Abyss. 💀
