Eiji Aonuma must have seen the intense bond many, many people have with the original game and its remasters. I've seen a lot of YouTube video dissections and deep dives into the gameplay and story. There are some YouTubers who have a philosophical thesis about this game that lasts more than 3 hours. Others go deep into the characters, with historical accounts about the tribes that sound more like academic dissertations. I noticed such a range of opinions on the gameplay and environments the previous months. Some (like me) were a bit liberal and wouldn't mind a partial re-imagining of both the world layout and story. Others really want everything to be the same; anything out of sequence, and they say, "this is no longer Ocarina of Time". When I saw the first gameplay demo, I already knew it was going to be more conservative than I had in my fever dreams of what I would like to be changed, expanded upon, etc. I'm not disappointed overall with what I saw. If he saw a lot of this, no wonder he feels the fans' breath in his neck and thinks to himself.. I can't possibly please all these people, but I hope so. japantoday.com/category/ente…

Nintendo is really taking me back in the 90s. Soon with the Ocarina of Time remake, and I just played the demo for this new Castlevania game on my Switch 2 and was sold. Super Metroid and Castlevania 4 really gave me an appetite for that kind of gameplay, and they sort of lost me when it all had to become 3D. I feel some games are better in 2 (or 2.5D).
