I'm surrounded by Mormons, and they constantly amaze me. It is probably the single most functional theology in the world. It promotes good morals and behaviors - the best, being Christian in essence - and is the only vision for the future where humanity thrives under technological evolution. I respect them second to none. I even go to their church sometimes. (I live right next door - I can see the steeple from where I'm typing this.) They're the best voters, the best people, in the US right now. If any religious group is the future of Peak-America, it's probably Mormons.
For the people calling for the murder and imprisonment of Latter-day Saints, Don’t. We may be Americas last hope.

🚨 WOW. Gov. Ron DeSantis is GOING OFF right now post-blue tsunami: "I see the ad, 'so and so voted against releasing the Epstein Files.' I'm like, that's a bad vote. We ran as Republicans saying we need to do that. And you have people in Congress voting against release when the Attorney General said she had all the all this horrific stuff on her desk and that people are gonna be held accountable?!" "It's untenable when you have people going in trading stocks! I've never traded stocks since I've been in elected office. How do you have no investment acumen, and then all of a sudden get elected to Congress, and then you're outperforming Warren Buffett?" "I saw how they were running and it was a rejection of what was going on in DC." I am SO thankful Florida held the line. We avoided some of the MOST horrendous US House wipeouts (still losing some) and our statewide remained red. The legislature is still red 2028 is our only next chance to make a dent in this.

My life has changed for the better ever since I found Jesus. We should all strive to follow His teachings and walk the path He has laid before us. True happiness can only be found through Jesus Christ.

Matthew chapter 25 teaches us that we need to be responsible with money. This is what the LDS church has done. Haters and bigots will turn it into something ugly.

John Stockton built his career on something simple: doing the fundamentals right, every single time, no matter what the crowd said. That's exactly what Minnesota needs right now. I'm honored to have his support. Momentum is building and common sense is making a comeback. Let's get to work, Minnesota!

Federal agents already executed a court-authorized warrant at NUR SAID ELMI'S home and issued more than a DOZEN grand-jury subpoenas examining whether her age was falsified on her citizenship paperwork And now we see in court filings it's a FAKE NAME Nobody is above the law!

Thank you BYU fans for your generosity donating to our UCF students in need. I’ll be rooting for you to rep the Big 12 in the CFP. Win the rest of your games and prove the haters wrong. @BYUFlorida your fanbase is amazing. I’m sorry you are met by nastiness because of faith.
Three hours before kickoff today, the visiting fans set up tents at an elementary school outside Orlando and started unloading thousands of pounds of food. None of it was for them. All of it was for students at the school they came to play. The visitors were BYU. The food goes to the Knights Helping Knights Pantry at UCF, which started in 2009 as a class project and is now run by students for students. Last school year it gave out more than 185,000 pounds of food across nearly 60,000 visits. About 400 UCF students walk through it on an ordinary day. Roughly 35% of UCF students say they deal with some level of food insecurity. BYU fans have been doing this at road games since 2019. They call it Cougs Care, and the local alumni chapter picks the charity in whatever city the team is playing in. Last November in Lubbock they ran a book drive with Texas Tech fans for Literacy Lubbock. It was supposed to be one tailgate. It turned into a week. Here is what the Texas Tech side said about that. "Everyone wanted to help, so we decided to make this a weeklong event." They collected more than 6,000 books. Andy Reid went to Brigham Young University. Patrick Mahomes went to Texas Tech. Both of them pushed it online. In Ames, Iowa they collected coats, shoes and blankets, and they did it in the name of a man from Des Moines named Charles Good, who in 1856 gave new boots to a group of children walking west. They were paying back a stranger 169 years later. At East Carolina they filled the Purple Pantry with more than 5,000 pounds. Tyler Stahle of BYU posted pictures from under the tent in Oviedo this afternoon while the food was still coming in. Last season the whole thing brought in 76,500 pounds, which was 15 times what it collected the year before, and the number of people taking part doubled to 26,500. The last time BYU played in Orlando, two years ago, fans left about 2,000 pounds for this same pantry. The tailgate was open to both sides, and UCF fans came and gave to their own pantry alongside them. Be honest about the size of it. One tailgate does not fix a campus where a third of the students are short on food, and the University of Central Florida is one of the largest schools in the country. The drive is also run by BYU's own alumni association, which means it is good for BYU too. And the pantry is not the only thing on that campus that needs filling. BYU lost today. UCF won 39 to 31 in double overtime. The food was already stacked on the tables by then. The cans were counted, the bags were loaded, and none of those people knew yet whether they had driven across the country to watch their team lose. They handed it over before they knew. When was the last time somebody did something for you with nothing in it for them. Thanks to @tstahle15 for sharing this story!

.@kalanifsitake gives his take on the controversial final play in @BYUFootball's win over Notre Dame.

Did BYU really “deserve” “earn” the win vs Notre Dame? A lot of Notre Dame fans feel like the Irish had the game taken away from them. The botched spike and fumble near the goal line before halftime. The controversial no-call on pass interference. And the final second that the Big 12 has since acknowledged should have been put back on the clock. I understand the frustration, especially with how the game ended. But here’s what’s interesting. Parker Fleming (@statsowar), VP of Football Strategy at Dropback, published his Week 7 Net Success Rate rankings, and the analytics paint a different picture of what happened in Provo. BYU finished roughly 20 percentage points ahead of Notre Dame in net success rate. That’s a pretty significant difference for a game decided by just four points. BYU had a 46.4% offensive success rate compared to Notre Dame’s 39.2%. On passing downs, BYU was successful 45.5% of the time compared to just 30.8% for Notre Dame. BYU also converted 8 of 12 third downs and scored touchdowns on all four red-zone possessions. Notre Dame went just 2 of 5 scoring touchdowns in the red zone. The Irish actually outgained BYU 376 to 360 and won the turnover battle. They had opportunities to win this game. But there’s a difference between having opportunities to win and actually outplaying your opponent. The analytics suggest BYU was the more efficient team throughout the game, even if the scoreboard didn’t fully reflect it. Notre Dame fans have a legitimate argument about the officiating and the final second. But the idea that Notre Dame was the better team and got robbed is false… if anything BYU almost gave it away on Saturday night through their special teams play calling and execution.

CougConnect took down the video of BYU DL Justin Kirkland admitting to the foul at the end of the first half of the BYU-Notre Dame game. Here’s the full video ⬇
BYU DL Justin Kirkland admitted he yelled “hut” at the end of the first half, when CJ Carr’s spike was ruled a fumble, which would have been a penalty on BYU. Carr attempted to spike the ball to stop the clock, but officials ruled it a fumble recovered by BYU after review. Notre Dame center Ashton Craig argued the call, but to no avail. nitter.gq/CougConnect/status/211…
