Turning Point USA reported more than $8 million in payments to two outside printing companies on its recent Form 990 filings for “Printing, Publication, Educational Materials,” yet Erika Kirk told Fox News during a tour of headquarters that the organization does almost all of its printing in-house.On the filings covering much of 2023–2024, Resource One (2900 E. Apache St., Tulsa, OK) was listed as the highest-paid independent contractor at $6,146,883. American Solutions for Business (Glenwood, MN) received another $2,026,589 in the same category. Together the two companies accounted for more than $8 million. Resource One is controlled by James R. “Jim” Moore through Moore Holdings. American Solutions for Business is a 100% employee-owned ESOP founded by Larry Zavadil.
In the Fox News interview, Erika Kirk stated that packaging for activism kits, pocket Constitutions, buttons, flyers, posters, and bracelets are largely produced in-house. She added that demand has grown so rapidly they outgrew their space and brought in new machines. If the majority of printed materials are produced on-site, the multi-million-dollar payments to these two outside contractors raise an obvious question about what services were actually being purchased.
Public records do not show either company is owned by Turning Point executives. The discrepancy between the 990 contractor payments and the on-camera description of in-house printing remains unexplained. Until Turning Point provides a detailed breakdown of exactly what those millions bought, the numbers invite scrutiny.
