The house and courtyard look beautiful covered in snow today. It is the perfect winter scene for the 17th-century home where James Cook once lived. The museum is currently closed and will reopen on February 7, 2026.

Huge thanks to Elaine Callaghan, a valued staff member who also volunteers her time to care for our garden. A visitor on 6 Aug said, “The patio garden with plants from New Zealand really impressed us.” #CaptainCookMuseum #VolunteerThanks #WhitbyMuseum
