Some great insights here from my mate Alex. Central Banks and governments around the world have obfuscated and lied about their accumulation of gold over recent years. The truth as it comes out is shocking and suggests that they’ve been hiding their true attitude to their own fiat currencies and its derivatives. Clearly gold is what they really believe in and they have been accumulating at an extraordinary rate.
While the West watches the price of gold, China is building the financial system around it. China is already the world's: • Largest gold producer • Largest gold consumer • Largest gold importer This could become one of the most important monetary stories of our generation. The West needs to pay very close attention.

When we reach the inevitable age of unlimited abundance in 10-15 years and SGI-robotics create anything we need, the thing that will have most value to society will be lore- spoken word, art, drama, music performed by humans for humans, free of SGI. And anyone with a creative bent will have the time to flex that muscle. That’s where we will see value and beauty. This astonishingly beautiful performance is an outstanding example of what can and will move us. Of course the bottle neck will be metal! (I can’t go a second without saying that 🤦🏻‍♂️😆).

AI Needs Copper AI's growth isn't only a technology story. Vizsla Copper Chair & CEO, Craig Parry, highlights a major physical bottleneck: the infrastructure required to power and build AI data centers needs enormous amounts of #copper. From power systems to data centers, copper is becoming increasingly important to the global technology buildout. ➡️ youtube.com/watch?v=B4Jo5nCV… $VCU.NE $VCUFF @SmallCapSteve @TheDeepDive_ca #AI #CopperCrunch

Miners have never been this cheap relative to tech on a free cash flow yield basis. Yet there is no AI revolution without metals. tavicosta.substack.com/p/top…

I’ve specialized in resource stocks for most of my investing life. They’ve treated me very well, although they’re highly cyclical and ultra-volatile. In the roughly five great resource bull markets starting in 1971, the average gold stock went up 10-1. Some went up 100-1. And, purely by accident, I owned one that rose 1000-1. I’m not talking about in the course of a lifetime, but in about five years. Then, when a bear market inevitably hits, most collapse at least 90%, with many going to zero—or close to it. Few legitimate investors even acknowledge their existence because their market caps are so small. Most aren’t even microcaps. They’re nanocaps. Some are picocaps. Because resource stocks are so small and so volatile, few pay attention to them, despite the fact that gold has risen more than a hundred times over the last 50 years. What’s interesting this time around is that the companies producing the raw materials of civilization don’t adequately reflect the values of their products. As we speak, both mining and energy stocks are at about the cheapest levels in history relative to other sectors. The public is totally uninterested in them. Their attention is focused entirely on the tech stocks. Resource stocks have done pretty well over the last couple of years. But the bull market is just beginning. I think we have several years to go, and it’s going to be breathtaking. That’s where you should be.

Two Alaska projects are purchased by @VizslaCopper from Agnico Eagle, who is taking a large equity stake in Vizsla, owning ~19.99% and potentially 22% after shareholder approval. This is one big stamp of approval, I'm (very) overweight this #copper stock: thegoldadvisor.com/the-gold-…

Now is the time to watch Dr. Copper. I've been pounding the table on copper for years like many others. It's the thermometer of the global economy and the glue holding the entire industrial world together. There is nothing like watching a thick piece of chalcopyrite come out of the earth's crust. To think… that moment is getting rarer, because copper deposits are becoming brutally hard to find. More than 60% of the annual increase in discovered copper volume came from expansions at existing mining complexes, NOT new discoveries. That is a wild statistic to think about. We are staring down a supply deficit of historic proportions, and the way we're finding more copper isn't through bold discoveries… It's by squeezing more out of what we already have. The market is waking up. And we need staggering volumes of copper to power the AI future the mainstream is desperate to build. As my friend @CraigParry_ puts it: The supply side of the equation is severely constrained. That constraint is the opportunity. Never forget: First principles start with the periodic table. Everything you see and touch is built from what comes out of the ground first.

I didn’t really start on X to promote anything much. My intent is really just to talk about our wonderful industry and the good it brings, but if you like copper and a cool story, hang in there… We’ve had some pretty spectacular hits at Vizsla Copper over the last few weeks: - 48.5 Meters of 3.32% Copper Within 266.0 Meters of 0.97% Copper at the Deerhorn Deposit, Woodjam Project, Central British Columbia - 49.2 Meters of 4.7% Copper Equivalent Including 27.0 Meters of 8.4% Copper Equivalent at its Palmer Project in Southeast Alaska I’ve got a champion team - Steve Blower, Keith Bodnarchuk, Pete Mercer, Chris Leslie (and many more) who’ve all made major discoveries in Cu, Au, Ag and U. So if there is any metal on any of our properties, we’re a good chance of finding it! Enthusiastically, I’ve been trying to build a copper business for 20 years now, and as Rick Rule @RealRickRule would say, my track record has been unblemished by success! That’s hopefully changing! Now we’ve got several great assets with lots of copper at scale and/or very high-grade. Not lacking in ambition 😆, we set ourselves the task of building a mid-tier North American copper developer in record time. There simply cannot be a better time in history for the emergence of a new US-focused mid-tier copper developer. The cupboard is pretty bare, and assets like these will be valued at higher multiples as the copper price continues its inexorable rise toward $40 per pound and the M&A cycle kicks off! Anyway, this is the mission, and we’re assiduously pushing towards it. You might get some amusement if ya follow along @vizslacopper Today is another huge step towards that goal. And if you like the story, don’t wait! Call your broker! We’ve got four rigs turning right now!

An entire investment sector is about to deliver a 10-bagger. Exploration and mining. AI and robotics are going to have bonkers impacts on the global economy. Clearly, the AI companies will be enormous winners. But as @elonmusk and @chamath have pointed out, someone still has to supply the copper, silver and other metals that make the whole thing possible. And having explored for and found a few deposits in my time, I can tell you: the supply side is incredibly constrained. You simply cannot bring new mines online quickly enough to respond to the metal demand that could be coming. That’s what makes this so exciting. Mining companies are still trading at historically depressed valuations by many measures, while some metal prices are already around record highs. When the broader market wakes up to what is happening, the rerating will be extraordinary. Some of the great companies and fortunes of the next decade will come from our sector. So strap yourself in and hold on tight. @robert_ivanhoe The legendary Robert Friedland’s “revenge of the miners” is upon us!

G’day! I got a lovely handwritten gift card from Michael, one of our five summer interns from UBC. Bright, gregarious and an absolute pleasure to have around the office. He thanked me and said his time with us had inspired him to join the exploration and mining industry. I was stoked! I messaged him back and said: “I’m pumped to hear that your passion for mining has been ignited! Mate, almost every other industry is going to be challenged by the AI and robotics revolution. The one industry that won’t and can only benefit from it is ours. We’re a primary industry. At least until AI gets its head around alchemy! I believe some of the greatest companies and fortunes built outside of AI over the next 20 years will come from our sector. It would be great to have you be part of it. Anyway, mate, we’ll get that coffee one day soon. Well done and a special big thanks for the trivia afternoon. It was a boost the office needed!!” Cheers, Craig
