If only all MP's showed this maturity.
I want to address an allegation directly, because Reform politicians seem determined to spread the idea that I am somehow working in coordination with the Conservative Party and Kemi Badenoch.
Yes, I was a member of the Conservative Party. In 1993. My children have since been born and grown up. It was more than thirty years ago. Literally, a lifetime ago. Many of the Reform leadership certainly can’t say the same.
Yes, I've met Kemi Badenoch. I speak to her occasionally. I like her personally. We have worked together in Parliament. She spoke positively about our rape gang inquiry, and I thanked her for it.
Numerous Conservative MPs have supported my parliamentary work, including our inquiry.
Esther McVey. Nick Timothy. Jack Rankin. Peter Bedford. I could go on.
I am not going to apologise for that.
I will work with anyone in Parliament who is prepared to help deliver meaningful change. We have achieved results by doing precisely that.
Does that mean I forgive the Conservatives for what they did to Britain between 2010 and 2024?
Absolutely not. It was a betrayal.
I have literally established a national political party to fight them at the ballot box. I am delighted when we beat them, which is a growing amount. All that should be a fairly substantial clue…
But opposing a political party does not require you to behave like a petulant child towards every single person associated with it.
Conservative MPs believed I would do a good job on the Public Accounts Committee. I accepted the opportunity to scrutinise government spending and fight for British taxpayers.
Again, absolutely no apologies. I think we have delivered results.
Now let's compare that with Reform.
Reform tried to have me imprisoned over false allegations. I would be in prison today if they had their way.
Despite everything, I have repeatedly attempted to work with Reform MPs in Parliament. I have invited them to support initiatives, collaborate on important issues and help deliver results.
Time and again, those invitations have been ignored. My emails don’t even get a reply. I happily sign their motions and support their efforts, I did earlier this week. The feeling is not mutual.
They complain. They moan. They attack. They endlessly manufacture personal grievances.
But ask them to put their animosities aside and actually achieve something together?
Suddenly, it's total silence.
I've received more constructive support in Parliament from Labour MPs than from Reform.
Think about that.
It is grievance politics at its most pathetic. Negative, unproductive and deeply unprofessional.
My position is incredibly straightforward.
At elections, we are opponents. In Parliament, we have a responsibility to get things done. I believe that is what our constituents want us to do. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think not.
Reform claim we stand in more local council Reform seats than anyone else. Yes, because so many more Reform councillors resign in disgrace than any other party. We are moving towards standing in 100% of local council by-elections. We’ve stood in Reform seats, Labour seats, Tory seats.
Everywhere and anywhere.
I intend to fight both Reform and the Conservatives for every vote. I want Restore Britain to win over millions of people who previously voted for those parties.
But that does not mean I have to insult everyone I disagree with, refuse to speak to political opponents or sabotage decent initiatives because somebody else might receive a little credit.
I was elected to represent my constituents, not to participate in an endless Westminster playground feud.
Do I like Kemi Badenoch and some other Conservative MPs personally? Yes.
Will I work with them when it benefits the British people? Yes.
Do I fundamentally oppose the Conservative Party's record and want Restore Britain to defeat them electorally? Yes. Their 14 years of power was an utter betrayal, and is largely responsible for the social, economic and demographic vandalism we have endured.
All three things can be true. Any serious adult should be capable of understanding that. It is not difficult to comprehend.
I will work with Conservatives. I will work with Labour. I will work with Reform, if they ever decide to behave constructively.
Reform's increasingly nasty, brash and personally unpleasant approach to politics says far more about them than it does about me. It’s just downright rude.
They seem to believe that refusing to work with anyone is a demonstration of strength. In my view, it’s a weakness that erodes our politics and fails our constituents.
I have said it again and again.
I will work with anyone in parliament to deliver for the British people.
And I make no apologies for doing so.
African dog snatchers made my dog racist! 😯
It sounds like a fantastical 90's Sun headline but it's unfortunately true.
Last weekend my daughter in-law was walking my dog about 7pm local to my home.
It was dark but you would expect this to be safe.
The dog feeling his walker's anxiousness started to growl and bark and my daughter in-law started to shout at them to leave her alone.
Luckily another dog walker came across to see if she was OK and the potential dog snatchers decided it was too much trouble.

This is Hull, not a Syrian dump
485 Anlaby Road / Shop2 is a disgrace
Side of the shop is a tip with rubbish piled high, broken glass, bins overflowing, rats and mice - People can’t even walk past
Health hazard and fire risk right on our streets
In 2019 Jegarkhwin Mehkow (Hull Store International Food / Four Seasons) was fined over £4k by Hull Council for flogging meat weeks past its use by date (stickers stuck over the dates) and selling illegal tobacco
New company at the exact same shop run by Sabri Mahko (Syrian national). That company’s now dissolved, he was declared bankrupt this year
Same premises, same standards - Treating our streets like a Syrian dump
Opening Ltd Company after Ltd Company, dissolving the last one and declaring bankruptcy to wipe out debts, contracts and fines
The shop has been reported to the council but I am sure they will do naff about it and I highly doubt Humberside Police will care either
Shout out to Adam who raised this as we need to start calling this third world shit out on our streets

Massive news for our great city, and a huge personal victory!
After years of me shouting and campaigning for change on our streets, we are finally seeing results
Hull is proudly pledging to become an Inclusive Recovery City shifting addiction support out of the clinics and straight into the heart of our community, led by people who have actually lived it
On top of that, we’ve just got almost £700k in funding to tackle rough sleeping this winter
We are finally getting real frontline emergency shelters and support for our most vulnerable this winter
Seeing things I’ve fought for finally become official policy makes me think that they should just put me in charge of the council already
😆 🤣 😂
From the streets to actual recovery, Hull is showing the world what real grit and community spirit can achieve
Proud of our city and proud to see this fight paying off
I am going to start a collection for old clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, socks and so on as the temperature drops to hand out to homeless people. If anyone wants to chip in, please slide into my DM's
Share if you care as we would like to collect as much bits and bobs as we can

Hidden away on page 111 of the Budget - 'The government is providing £150 million capital investment in 2027-28 to fund additional large sites to accommodate asylum seekers'

Replying to @AngelaRayner
@AngelaRayner, did you allow Islamist extremists to influence the drafting of the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition?
It’s a simple yes-or-no question.
If not, why did your department claim that it had deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, only to say — after the Free Speech Union threatened legal action — that the responses were still held on its data system?
And why does your department still refuse to disclose who responded to the consultation?
While we’re at it: if, as your Permanent Secretary confirmed in a letter to @NJ_Timothy, ministers had no involvement in this decision, who is running your department?
The public deserves to know the truth.

HOW MUCH WORSE MUST THINGS GET
Hull residents deserve safe streets, not excuses from politicians who have failed to deliver
THE CRIME FIGURES FOR HULL DEMAND ATTENTION FROM OUR MP'S
Hull North & Cottingham = 32.7 recorded crimes per 1K residents under Labours Dame Diana Johnson
Hull West & Haltemprice = 33.2 per 1K under Labours Emma Hardy
Hull East = 31.8 per 1K under Labours Karl Turner
That’s roughly 39% above the national average for overall recorded crime according to the constituency data
So where is the urgency and the accountability?
Where is the serious plan to make our communities safer?
Moreover, what the hell are our MP's actually doing?
I'll tell you what they are doing - They are moaning about electric trains that will get you to Leeds 2 min quicker in the name of net bloody zero
Now I'll tell you what they are not doing - MAKING OUR STREETS SAFE TO WALK AGAIN
Hull deserves politicians who put local people first
We need honest data, effective policing and real consequences for those who commit crime and the MP's who seemingly allow it
Be honest, what would you prefer? Net Zero trains, or streets your bains can play out in and your family can go about the day without fear of getting robbed?

“As a former RNLI Crewman Volunteer of 15 years let me educate you of Maritime Law if I may.
When these rubber boats set off from France overloaded, the French are breaking maritime law by not intercepting them and returning them to shore. When these illegal migrants boats have sailed almost 3/4 of the way to the UK and now in British waters, the RNLI and Border Force are sent out by the Coastguard on the instructions of HM Government to intercept them. They do this because if the rubber boats are allowed to land on uk soil under their own steam then everyone on board becomes an illegal immigrant and by law MUST be detained and deported asap.
However when they are picked up at sea, even if only 200 yards offshore, and in no danger whatsoever, then the RNLI and Border pick them up and they are longer called illegals - conclusion The French and The British are doing this on purpose - WHY?”
