Sure sex is great but have you ever had your design signed off with no changes?

It seems China has undercut US corporate plans to make lots of money from AI by releasing a free, powerful version called #DeepSeek. deepseek.com/

Immigration is not the reason that you can’t get a hospital appointment, it’s the reason you can get one. Please repost for all the people who can’t seem to grasp that.

At the end of The Empire Strikes Back the rebels are desolate. Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. Luke Skywalker has been defeated in battle by Darth Vader, losing a hand in the process. The Emperor's victory was total.... until the Jedi returned. Not sure what made me think of that.

Word of the day is ‘recrudescence’ (17th century): the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve.

There’s a lot to complain about on this app, but I just realized that if you “like” a tweet with the #Halloween hashtag, the little “like” heart turns into a pumpkin and that is Very Cute

Weird how "dynamic pricing" never seems to mean you can get gig tickets for a fiver if they're not selling well

Good news! We are going to fill the £22bn black hole in the economy by buying up loads of Oasis tickets and re-selling them at ten times the price.

I paid £22.50 to see Oasis at Knebworth in 1996 with Prodigy (#ripkeith) as one of the support acts, that won’t even cover ticketmasters booking fees this time will it?

Yesterday I replied the following to a message posted by the owner of this site as he once again posted ill-informed comments about UK politics
Replying to @elonmusk
We have freedom of speech in the UK; it's written into our law in the 1998 Human Rigts Act. But rights come with responsibilities (I appreciate that's a concept you're not familiar with); there's a requirement not to incite criminality or spread hatred online. We find society works better that way.

Don’t leave Twitter. Flood it with your interests. Art, History, Cinema, TV, Politics, Theatre, Literature, Gaming, Holidays, Nostalgia, Memes. There are many here happy to engage civilly, to listen and debate. Don’t leave this space to bile, hate & nihilism. Pass it on.
