Chef Juell R. said for an energizer when P was being creative, espresso was his go-to. “There was an ongoing joke,” chef Ray said. “At 2AM, the sound guys would come to the kitchen & ask me how many espresso shots P had that night. If I said 3, they’d go ‘gonna be a long night!’”

When P said “Alright I'm out y’all–Chief Longshoe–don’t ever come up in here with your feet lookin like that again!” my mind went to PFUnk: “I love all of y’all–don’t you ever mess with me no more...that's it y’all–I’m out like the Wolves in the 1st.” Same pitch & vibe. Sandals😂

Who remembers the Official Tribute Concert 10 years ago today at the Xcel Center in St. Paul? Band members from every era. What Tyka referred to as the public memorial. Over 5 hours of music and celebration of life.

10 Years Ago today. 10-13-2016. Our memorial service.

Shocked & sad 2 hear David Rivkin passed on 8/2! 💜 & condolences 2 @BobbyZ1999 & whole fam. Should have said 2 U Bobby 10 yrs ago@ Omarr’s event-“you gave us quite a scare a while back & really happy you're OK💜” Cannot B overstated how huge David & Bobby were 2 P’s foundations.

40 years ago today. Less than 30 days later, UTCM was released to theaters, including an instr. mix of “It’s A Wonderful Day”, the 3rd song from this daring double LP configuration. Bass Drum Pounds...“She just doesn't know what she wants...Don’t you know I’ll slap the waves...!”

Thanks for letting me know. So cool.

Cool. Thanks for sharing these stories. Loved your cousin’s nod back to those years of his life in the song Musicology – “Don't you touch my stereo... don't you ever touch, these are my records!” Always wondered if that came from memories of his Dad, Omarr's Dad, (or Alfred).

@MDean Props & thanks 4 all your gr8 interviews like the long AC, Pepe, Maneca!, Laura L, Susan R, Leeds, Owen, Scottie& many more. Remember u talking about We Can Funk & girl who inspired, tho couldn't find which episode. Saw this on the org - this could be her? Timing is right.

This gives away more about where her head and heart really is. xitter.cf/donnyenglish/status/20…

My bad. When I posted about him on 4-21-23 (linked ↓), I got it right. Also quoted you sharing memories of him in a reply to that. For those of us who loved hearing your cousin talk about Alfred on wax, loved being able to see him and hear more about him. xitter.cf/Creating_C_ing/status/…

Thank you for the necklace! That night, I imagined the next 10 years and estate going very differently than how they did. Hope you both are doing well and happy you’re in such a beautiful location.

I usually don't like most of these kind of projects, but caught a little of this one and to quote Movie Star, "Actually this one's not bad, check it out." ("So, you like environmental records?")
