CONFIRMED: Analysis of data obtained over the past 2 weeks by the #DARTMission team shows impact with Dimorphos has successfully altered the asteroid’s orbit by 32 minutes - marking the 1st time humans have changed the orbit of a celestial object in space! go.nasa.gov/3g2C5kp

ALT A black and white image shows a bright object in the upper center of the graphic. This image was taken by the Italian Space Agency's LICIACube and shows white plumes of ejecta streaming from the Dimorphos asteroid after NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirect Test, or DART, mission, made impact with it on Sept. 26, 2022. Rectangles appear to zoom in on the asteroid and represent different levels of contrast. These levels allow scientist's to better see fine structures in the plumes. By studying these streams of material, we will be able to learn more about the asteroid and the impact process.

I believe film criticism is getting worse even as platforms are more available than ever. Idk if it’s laziness or laziness, but they don’t even distinguish between CGI, compositing, cinematography, production design or directorial intent.

Venga, va hilo largo intentando explicar el workflow de color ACES con CDL. Lo que va a continuación es válido en la gran mayoría de casos, pero siempre puede haber variaciones dependiendo del proyecto. Y, ojo, voy a tratar de simplificar.

Photo of one single atom (the bright dot at the center of the pictures). It's being illuminated by a laser and held motionless thanks to an electric field. It absorbs and re-emits light particles sufficiently quickly for an ordinary camera to capture it.

Regular people assume the footage from behind-the-scenes featurettes are the “truth” — in fact, it is now standard practice to alter pieces of documentary footage from EPK “making-of” b-roll for public consumption for various reasons.
