kaspa produces 10 blocks per second. those blocks can carry app updates as well as payments.
covenants let devs build apps with parts that update independently. separate games, for example, can each keep their own progress without needing to change the others.
when parts need to work together, their changes can happen in one transaction, with kaspa’s proof-of-work network checking that they follow the rules.
If you buy a cup of coffee that costs $4.00:
• At $0.04: You pay 100 KAS.
• At $10.00: You pay 0.4 KAS.
• At $50.00: You pay 0.08 KAS.

you can build a kaspa vault that only lets you spend once a price condition is met.
silverscript’s HodlVault example checks your signature and a signed price message from an oracle, an outside source of data.
kaspa checks that the message meets the contract’s conditions. you’re still trusting the oracle to report the price accurately.
the example code is in the comments for devs to build from.
