Three Mid-Term Trends I'm Watching This Week 🧵 ZEC, NEAR and UNI. Three completely different theses, all with real catalysts behind them right now. Here's how I'm reading each one. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔒 zcash:native — Coiled Under A Falling Resistance Line The catalyst: privacy demand is back, institutional interest is genuinely there, and NU7 is coming with 25-second block times. Faster settlement changes what Zcash is usable for, not just what it's good at. The chart: ZEC ran to 1,377 last week, got rejected hard back down to 1,150, and is now recovering at 1,231. What's interesting is the shape it's leaving behind. 🔹 Resistance: 1,301.09 on the descending trendline, then 1,377.74 which is the spike high 🔹 Support: 1,215.33 is being tested right now. Below that, 1,181.94 on the rising trendline, then 1,120.08 Price is squeezed between a falling resistance line and rising support, and they're converging. That's compression, and compression resolves. I want to see which side breaks before I commit either way. My read: this is a narrative with a technical upgrade attached, which is the combination that actually sustains a move. The risk: NU7 is a hard fork. Hard forks don't always go smoothly, and the market doesn't forgive a delay. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌐 near:native — The Cross-Chain And AI Agent Play The catalyst: over $32B in cumulative NEAR Intents volume across 30+ chains, ETF interest, and AI agent infrastructure. Intents is the part that matters — real usage and real fees, not a promise. My read: NEAR has quietly become infrastructure rather than just a fast L1. That's harder to compete with than throughput. The risk: cross-chain security. Every bridge and intent rail is an attack surface, and the market has learned that lesson expensively more than once this year. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🦄 ethereum:0x1f9840a85d5af5bf1d1762f925bdaddc4201f984 — The One With Actual Revenue The catalyst: the fee switch, token burns, DEX market share, protocol revenue, and multichain expansion. My read: UNI is the rare token where the bull case is a spreadsheet rather than a story. Burns are mechanical and they scale with volume. If you want a thesis you can model, this is it. The risk: everything depends on protocol revenue and ecosystem activity. If volume rotates to another venue, the burn slows and the thesis thins out in real time. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📊 HOW I'M THINKING ABOUT THE WEEK Three assets, three horizons. ZEC is event-driven and volatile. NEAR is a slow infrastructure compounding story. UNI is the most fundamentally grounded of the three. Different jobs in a portfolio. The Biggest Week Of The Quarter, And Google Just Broke Its Structure 📊 Fed decision, Q3 GDP, core PCE, and Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon all reporting. If you trade US stocks, this is the week to have a plan. Here's mine. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📅 THE CALENDAR 🔸 Tue 27 — Boeing, Corning, Coca-Cola pre-market. Seagate, Visa, NXP, Robinhood after 🔸 Wed 28 — MSFT and GOOGL post-market. That's the big one. Cloud growth and whether the AI spend is converting 🔸 Thu 29 — Fed decision at 02:00 UTC, expected hold at 4.00%. Warsh presser 02:30. Q3 GDP advance expected 3.2%, core PCE expected 3.10% 🔸 Thu 29 — Amazon, Intel, SanDisk after the close 🔸 Fri 30 — Exxon, Chevron, AbbVie pre-market The Fed and mega-cap tech landing in the same 48 hours is as much volatility as you'll get in a quarter. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📈 $GOOGL — Broke A Five Month Wedge Days Before Earnings This is the one I'm focused on. Look at the chart. Since July, GOOGL has been squeezed between a falling resistance line and a rising support line, coiling tighter the whole time. Price action was clean, contained, and going nowhere in a hurry. Then it broke. The apex of that wedge sat right at 339.15 to 339.70. Five months of structure, and it's given way into the print. Price is at 319.11 now, so the confluence that held all autumn is overhead instead of underneath. 🔹 Resistance: 339.15 / 339.70 is the wedge apex and now the first wall. Above that, 357.67, then 379.77 🔹 Support: 318.22 is right underneath the current price. That's the line that decides the next move. Lose it and 296.72 is the target 🔸 If it reclaims 339 on a daily close, the break is a fakeout and I'm looking long into earnings 🔸 If 318.22 goes, I'm looking down toward 296.72 Bearish structure into a binary event. That's not a comfortable hold, which is exactly why I want the levels marked before the number lands. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 WHERE THE EARN COMES IN Here's something most stock investors don't know. Everyone Read Meta's Cash Flow And Missed The Actual Number 📉 $META reported this week and the headlines were all about the negatives. Free cash flow came in at negative $2.1 billion against positive $10.6 billion a year earlier. Capex hit $34.9 billion. There was a $9.89 billion legal charge sitting in the results. So the easy take was "AI spending is destroying the balance sheet." Except they beat on revenue. $64.6 billion, up 26% year on year, against roughly $63.3 billion expected. And the guidance for next quarter was $73 to 76 billion, above the $73.7 billion analysts wanted. That's the bit I traded. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📈 MY TRADE META long, 33x. Average entry 644.36, average close 647.31. +10.77%. Closed and banked. Why long? Because the market was pricing the cash flow story and the revenue story was still intact. When the narrative and the numbers disagree, I'd rather trade the numbers. The stock opened the after hours up around 2%.
