MEXC Lacks MiCA Authorization, Winds Down Netherlands as Restricted-Market List Expands
MEXC said it does not hold MiCA authorization in the EU and EEA and is winding down services in the Netherlands, with final offboarding scheduled for November 16. The exchange is also discontinuing services for users in Russia and Belarus. Separately, its User Agreement currently lists 13 prohibited jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Malaysia and Kazakhstan.

However, this classification only appears in the explanation of the new crypto rules, not in the rules themselves.

According to Cointelegraph, the Bank of Russia confirmed in updated guidance that direct peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptocurrency transactions between individuals will be banned starting July 1, 2027, requiring users to transact exclusively through authorized intermediaries. The central bank also clarified that individuals are prohibited from transferring crypto assets from regulated digital accounts to personal self-custody wallets.

They (Ergo) have a real chance to break the mining pool monopoly here and transition to a decentralized block production model where individual miners keep a larger portion of the rewards for block production, plus the incentives added by the mining contract.
