To be clear: it is unambiguously good for Americans to be protesting ICE. Republicans keep characterizing it as bad. But protesting against tyranny and abuses of power is a great American tradition. It is similar to what is happening - and being celebrated - this week in Iran.

Let me make this abundantly clear. This is illegal. This is excessive force. This agent deserves to be suspended without pay and criminally charged. If anybody knows his name, please contact me. The woman should also sue him.

BREAKING: Texas Republican endorses @JamesTalarico: “Voting for a Democrat does not come easy to me, but in this particular case it’s a very easy choice. Ken Paxton does not work for the citizens of Texas. He works for himself and he works for a small cadre of people in Washington DC doing their bidding… As a Texas Republican, I demand integrity and character. James Talarico has these qualities. Ken Paxton does not.”

Reminder: while GOPers have been justly going after Democrats for supporting socialism, the GOP under Trump has literally PRACTICED socialism. Vote out socialists, regardless of the color of their team jersey.
US government has now lost $33 billion on its Intel stake as it crashes 54% from all time high. $11.3 billion of that was wiped out today alone.

🚨 BREAKING: A federal judge has DISMISSED Trump’s defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal over its reporting on his alleged birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein. The judge dismissed the case WITH PREJUDICE, meaning Trump cannot simply refile the lawsuit in the same court. In a major First Amendment ruling, the judge rejected Trump’s argument that his denials should have prevented the newspaper from publishing its reporting, warning that such a standard would run afoul of the Constitution. The judge also described the Journal’s reporting as a “thoughtful and detailed investigation” and concluded that Trump’s defamation claims “lack merit.” The judge left open the possibility that Trump could be ordered to pay the newspaper’s attorneys’ fees. Trump can appeal, but for now, this is a major legal defeat.

I’m going to say something that many of you are not going to like. What else is new. I don’t want Dems to get control of Congress. But if they do, I hope that they have full oversight hearings on serial deportation abuses that have occurred under Trump 2.0. If you want to unfollow me for having a problem with how this has come down, knock yourself out. IDGAF.

We have a loved one scheduled to be on this flight. He will be killed if he’s returned to the Taliban. He supported the US mission in Afghanistan. He has broken no laws. He came here legally. Seeking asylum should not be a death sentence.
Breaking News: The Trump administration has detained dozens of Afghan immigrants in Louisiana — including relatives of those who helped the U.S. military — and plans to deport them to Afghanistan, according to U.S. officials. nyti.ms/4jPVvrw

It’s just crazy how literally nothing can break the perception that republicans are fiscally conservative. It does not matter that republicans have exploded the debt and deficit every time for the last 50 years, people still insist they’re fiscally conservative
If the stock market crashes on Monday, it would cement a Democratic sweep on Tuesday. Ironically, a crash that helps Democrats win may be driven by investors pricing in that outcome, as Democrats will likely raise corporate taxes and be more fiscally reckless than Republicans.

Democrats create good times. Good times create Republican voters. Republicans create bad times. Bad times create democratic voters.
Cinda Banda, a lifelong Christian from the Rio Grande Valley, voted for Trump in 2024. Abortion was her motivating issue. But now, battling cancer and taking care of six kids, Banda's voting priorities have shifted. With affordability at the top of her list, she said she voted for a Democrat for the first time. Two numbers explain 89% of midterm results since 1950 in the House: the generic ballot and the seats the president’s party holds. This year, that would translate to a Democratic gain of 33 seats. My @Morning_Joe Chart

“Trump’s superpower was his intuitive understanding of what motivated his supporters. Many Republicans privately tell me that he’s lost that feel.
