Trump is now locked between a rock and a hard place
He’s playing hard ball and can’t back down now or he will lose face
Countries he has imposed tariffs on will only need to hold their ground at this point because the longer they hold, the more it damages the US stock market
And this will put enormous pressure on Trump.
Trump being ok with this is a lose lose situation for the market
Meaning, he’s deliberately crashing the market to get rates lowered or his aggressive stance to get things done quickly will also cause the market to collapse
