A soft chuckle. "Am I an unofficial mascot or something? I was under the impression you already had one of those." Caw caw.

Well being a shadow user is kinda a lot- "I guess.. At least for the time being." He didn't exactly have anywhere else to go. Or the funds to get there.

β€œSeems almost like you’re staying,” Takes a lot for Jes to run, he can handle pretty much anything.

It's very.. Strange. But he's come to understand that's what to expect with Jesper. He decided not to comment on it. Besides, if Jes knew what he really was, he'd probably run anyway. "I've been here long enough to have a basic understanding of things."

β€œJust looking out for you darling. Wouldn’t handle it if something bad happened to you.” He admits like it’s the most normal thing in the world as he plops down beside them.

A flinch. Mostly from being approached, he doesn't really like to be perceived. "No one saw. Well.. Okay you did, but no one else-"

He begs to differ since he watched him steal it from the other side of the docks. Sneaking up on them, leaning down to whisper. β€œCareful stealing around here.”

Sitting cross-legged at the docks, munching on a bread roll. Totally obtained legally. No stealing at all occurred. He is innocent.

He's been hiding out for weeks now. And for the record, he is not even the tiniest bit used to how cities work. There's too many people here-

Hopefully, with better control Aron would find it easier to see the good in these powers. He can't exactly convince others he's not a villain if he didn't believe it himself, after all. "Yeah.. Lunch sounds good." He smiled a little, feeling better about things now. Mostly.

+ "Alright. But we need at least to have a proper lunch. And then we can practice together," she grinned as she leaned back on her seat.

Aron considered his options for a minute or two, before regaining his resolve for what he knew he had to do. "I want to. I do. The sooner I start getting a handle on this, the safer people will be." He can't lash out again, he can't. Never again.

"Hey, if you're not ready, it's totally okay," she reached across the table to squeezed his wrist gently. "But if you're sure, maybe we can go to the empty warehouse so we can practice your power without getting disturbed. What do you think?"
