Filipino comfort food restaurant Recovery Food has closed its remaining branch in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig, after over 14 years in operation.
Netizens and passersby said the restaurantβs BGC Crossroads location had been closed since November 1, with a sign posted at the storefront thanking patrons.
β14 years of Hunger, Hangover and Heartbreakβat sinamahan ninyo kami. Maraming salamat sa 14 years ng pagmamahal. Hanggang sa next na kainan, mahal namin kayo,β the announcement read, signed by βYour Recovery Food Family.β
Recovery Food did not announce the closure on its social media pages, where it last shared a Halloween promotion on October 31.
The restaurant opened in 2012 and was known for serving Filipino rice meals. Its flagship BGC Crossroads and BGC Stopover branches operated 24/7, serving the business districtβs graveyard shift crowd and partygoers after nights out.
The reason behind the closure remains unclear, but Recovery Food's shutdown adds to a growing list of business closures in recent months, highlighting the challenges businesses continue to face in keeping their operations afloat.
Recovery Food also had branches in Alabang, Pasay City, and Quezon City, all of which have since closed.
