It is crazy that the best 2 serials from the greatest Knick moment on @NBATopShot are still hidden inside unopened packs. OG tip in replaces the Charles Smith-mess as the top searched NYK video.
One of my favorite @NBATopShot Jokic Moments captures something we will NEVER see again.
During the 2020 NBA bubble, those fans behind the basket weren't photos. They were REAL fans watching and reacting LIVE from their homes.
A remarkable piece of NBA history, preserved forever on Top Shot.
Why am I so passionate about @nbatopshot? It’s because this is the only collectible that really captures NBA history. Topshot started in 2020 and went in both directions, capturing history as it happens, while also reaching back thru the TV era to mint the greatest players & plays that came before it. IMO, I don’t believe the NBA will want another platform to start over & duplicate what has already been “minted”. This is it.
A future NBA digital partner may happen, one that is steeped in collectible greatness, but they will build on top of what already exists. And IMO, the future is not stale images, but videos cataloging everything that has happened. The real play. I am not taking anything away from any other platform. We can all succeed. But one day, demand for these pieces of NBA history will overwhelm the supply that was minted years earlier. Cute
Hey @spinotron,
two purely hypothetical questions:
If Panini secured the NBA video/digital rights license in 2028 and began producing NBA video Moments, would you collect them?
If Panini Blockchain secured a deal that gave collectors full self-custody of all their sports cards, but the underlying blockchain was Flow, would you continue buying Panini digital cards?
@intangible_eth @NBATopShot
I think one of @NBATopShot biggest missing ingredients is kids. They are natural collectors. They see packs at a store, beg their parents for one, chase their favorite players & become lifelong collectors.
We need to create parent-controlled child accounts. Let them open packs, collect Moments, complete sets & build collections, while the parent controls all purchases, sales & withdrawals.
A simple custodian-linked secondary account.
Is it possible I have more moments inside unopened packs than I have in opened moments?? @NBATopShot
“You're pulling our legs, Charlie. There aren't any more Golden Tickets."
Imagine opening packs and not knowing whether the hits have been pulled or not. On @Nbatopshot every possibility, from every pack drop is presented with full, up to the second, detail. For good or bad, nothing is hidden…
In honor of July 4th and Red, White and Blue, these are the last of its kind on @NBATopShot. No more new set challenge rewards means there is a finite number left.
With a bit of @NBATopShot luck, I secured 2 mint condition, PSA-like 10s. They will remain sealed, though. But for anyone keeping track, these are the #1 and #8(Jersey serial) of the greatest moment in Knick history. Thx OG
Some #Knicks fans never gave up. Down 27 at halftime, I threw these bets in…
Two of my favorite stacks on @NBATopShot.
Every collector needs to own one of these….Topshot Debut of one of the all-time greats.
Everyone is frantically searching their closets for Jaden Ivey rookie cards. Husbands are yelling at wives: WTF are they? Where are my Bull’s binders? We need to submit these to PSA before everyone else does. In 75 days, maybe you can dump them on EBay!
@nbatopshot #timetravel
What is the average time to sell a physical card? My sources say it’s more than 8 weeks: Rip a pack, place card in a holder, hide it in a closet, find it, mail it to Nat’s office, get grade back in 7 weeks, list it on EBay, find a buyer, head to USPS to package it..@NBATopShot
The unopened pack difference between digital & physical…@nbatopshot: Every possible moment is listed on a ledger, w a % probability. Physical? Rent a high speed scanner & view the contents. Anyone buying old physical packs shd know they are scanned before Ebay. #cardfraud
