But uni can teach you a lot fast
You re forced to jump on it and learn a semester materials in one week for the exam and come out of it knowing of all kind of Fourier Transformations
And sure some less interesting stuff
Also not being the most profitable
Need to trade more
Lose more and win more
Will get back to it after this small holiday !!!
Haven’t had a satisfactory trade in even a single one of these AI coins + have had a few horrible executions and PnLs
Do i have access to information? Yes
Do i have wallets to track? Yes
Do i have smarter friends to tail? Yes
“Why am i still losing in this AI meta?”
1. I don’t really understand the market i’m trading - tech/ AI/ IT shit, it’s always been a weakness. I almost failed IT in university too lmfao T_T
Basically, i’m just gambling
2. I have a hard time betting big/ tailing on stuff that i don’t completely feel 100% confident in
3. Every time i’ve tried to increase my size on a trade, emotions came in, things went sideways and i’ve lost
4. FOMO’ing into trades at higher marketcaps with uncomfortable sizing just cause i see a narrative being pushed around
TL/DR - My net PnL is a reflection of my strengths and weaknesses, my emotions, and my ability to read and adapt to situations
What will i try to do?
- Avoid triggering my emotions. If i feel like i’m not trading with a cool head, take a few minutes off, reset.
- Avoid betting more on things i don’t completely understand and stick to a system of consistent small betting
- Adjust sizing based off confirmation bias (if any)
- Stop losing too big on losing trades that my wins can’t make up for
Will take it easy on this meta and try to maintain my edge on other niches that i have a better grip over
Will stick to my ways, and try to keep getting better at whatever conditions that the market brings in front of me
For now, we adapt, survive
Our time to thrive will come
Do ACs cost less electricity if constantly turned on
cause then it doesnt need to entirely take the temp down
or is it approximately the same
or waste of money

I’m really hesitant about what path to try and take on
1. Apply for SWE
2. Do some research with a professor on signals
3. Or focus on studies more
4. Try and find an ML position or something but most ask for a masters so …

I'd often belittle myself in the past, comparing myself to my smarter/ more successful frens/ strangers on this app
Them flipping 5-6 figures with ease, while i struggled to flip 3-4 even
No resentment towards them ofc, just the constant negativity about myself not being good enough

Even today, I have frens who print 7 figures on a weekly/monthly basis
But now when i think about it, everyone's position then vs now is different
Considering myself, i barely had $200 to my name 6 months ago
To have come this far, made so many frens, learnt so many lessons
Cherishing all of the above and coming to terms with it, that's what brings me peace

Looking back at the last few months or years and comparing them to today
What we've gained in terms of experiences/ frens/ lessons/ losses/ gains
I doubt anything beats that
Thus, stay content
It's not a race against others or a race against time, its a battle
