I am very excited to share that the first and main Bitcoin $DOG Mode pull request has been merged!
Thank you to everyone who contributed
There are a few more minor changes that need to be made and then a release candidate with binaries will be prepared so that developers can start running and testing $DOG Mode
Assuming all goes well in the testing phase $DOG Mode will be publicly released for everyone to run and use in the coming days

I am very excited to announce that solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u just took its first step toward upgrading the Bitcoin network 🧵
Today, the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army forked Bitcoin Core's code repository and established its own open source project called Bitcoin solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode.
Bitcoin solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode is a new Bitcoin client designed for maximum freedom.
Bitcoin developers are now able to work together on GitHub and make code contributions to Bitcoin solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode.
Over the coming weeks, the first version of solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode will be implemented, which involves making the following changes:
1. The maximum standard transaction size will be increased from 400,000 WU to 3,900,000 WU. This will give everyone equal access to do "four meggers" while leaving a generous 100,000 WU of space for the coinbase transaction and block overhead.
2. The global dust limit will be lowered from 294-546 sats (depending on output type) to 1 sat. Ordinals inscriptions and Runes UTXOs are currently forced to carry hundreds of unnecessary sats to appease Bitcoin Core. This will remove the need for "padding" and unlock ~$25M of sats for the Ordinals and Runes ecosystem.
3. Add preferential peering so that solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode nodes can "talk" to each other. This feature will largely borrow from Libre Relay's existing implementation of preferential peering.
Once these changes have been implemented, the first version of solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode will be released and available for everyone to run on their Bitcoin node.
It's important to take a step back and understand why solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode is so important.
For the past two and a half years, the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army has been at war with the Bitcoin Knots community.
This was not a war the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army went looking for, but rather one we were forced to join when the Bitcoin Knots community vowed to purge all Runes and Ordinals from the Bitcoin blockchain.
This conflict ultimately reached its conclusion earlier this month when the Bitcoin Knots community forked the Bitcoin network via BIP-110 in an attempt to make Bitcoin less compatible with Runes and Ordinals activity.
The fork failed miserably and marked a massive victory for the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army. The Bitcoin Knots community has now retreated to its own tiny blockchain which is largely irrelevant to the broader Bitcoin ecosystem.
With that fight now in the rearview mirror, the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army can turn its attention toward the much bigger goal of permanently making the Bitcoin network more open and friendly to non-monetary use cases.
There has never been a better time for us to upgrade the Bitcoin network and push for these changes than now.
One of the largest obstacles still standing in the way of non-monetary activity on Bitcoin is Bitcoin Core, whose developers enforce a collection of arbitrarily restrictive "standardness rules" that effectively dictate how people are allowed to use the network.
solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode will challenge this gatekeeping.
By loosening several of these standardness rules, solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode will give users more freedom to interact with Bitcoin however they choose, without needing approval from a small group of developers.
It's unfortunate that things have reached this point. The ideal outcome would have been to work alongside Bitcoin Core to make Bitcoin more open, programmable, and welcoming to new use cases.
But many Core developers have shown little interest in that vision, and several have been openly hostile toward non-monetary activity on Bitcoin.
So it is time for the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Army to take control of its own future and stop asking permission from people who would rather see us fail.
Bitcoin solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode is built around a very simple philosophical idea:
If someone pays for space in a Bitcoin block, they should be able to do whatever they want in that space without needing anyone else's approval.
Permissionlessness is one of Bitcoin's core principles and it is worth defending.
Bitcoin is stronger, more secure, and more resilient when it supports a thriving economy of non-monetary use cases including DeFi, DEXs, fungible tokens, non-fungible tokens, and entirely new applications that have not yet been invented.
solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode is being built specifically to give these use cases the freedom, flexibility, and protection they need to grow and to help usher in a new era of Bitcoin innovation and programmability.
If you are a developer interested in contributing to solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode, DM me or start a discussion in the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode GitHub.
If you have a GitHub account and support this initiative, go give the solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode repository a star.
If you want to run a solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u Mode node once the first version is released, stay tuned. More information is coming soon!

🚨UPDATE: This morning’s solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u candle appears to have been driven by buying pressure within @Gate - meaning the activity itself is occurring off-chain and isn’t directly observable on Bitcoin.
However, on-chain, I’m seeing multiple large solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u transactions that appear consistent with Gate moving tokens internally to new or existing traders:
08/09/2026, 13:17:15 - $75,765.74: oklink.com/bitcoin/tx/c0bdd0…
08/09/2026, 10:03:06 - $82,030.84: oklink.com/bitcoin/tx/1521ae…
But here’s what really caught my attention:
Gate has now removed its solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u proof-of-reserves information from its website (gate.com/en-us/proof-of-rese…).
On June 28, Gate reported holding 12.5B solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u, worth $7.6 Million USD (source: nitter.gq/Cryptolution/status/20…).
Now that information is gone. Why?
That’s something I’ll be watching very closely.

Everyone must bend their knee to $DOG eventually

In less than 3 days a dangerous Bitcoin proposal called BIP-110 will attempt to upgrade the Bitcoin network 🧵
The sole purpose of this proposal is to attack Ordinals and Runes
It will fail to gain consensus and result in a minority fork that has will have little to no adoption
But there is a lesson to be learned in all of this
The Ordinals and Runes ecosystem can no longer put our trust in the "Bitcoin Maxis"
We can no longer sit idly by waiting for whatever their next attack on us is
We must take control of our own destiny and start defending ourselves
It is time to develop our own Bitcoin client and upgrade the Bitcoin network on our own terms
$DOG Mode is coming...

🚨UPDATE: I traced every solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u transaction through @Gate's hot wallet in 2026.
What I found wasn't deposits. It was a loop.
One 333M solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u position, moving in a circle:
🔄 Hot Wallet → Wallet A → Wallet B → back to the Hot Wallet.
At least 6 complete cycles in July alone. Same tokens, down to the atomic unit. One fee wallet constructing every single transaction - meaning one operator controls all three addresses.
The fastest cycle? The full 333M re-entered the hot wallet 5 minutes after leaving the relay.
The fingerprint that gave it away: every cycle amount ends in the same trailing digits - ...576.84 - a base balance riding inside the position like a serial number.
The result: 1.64B solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u in gross "inflow" generated from a single 333M position. To anyone watching the wallet, July looked like a 12x explosion in activity.
It was the same money going in circles.
What I can prove: the loop exists. Every hop, every txid, every amount - documented on-chain.
What I can't prove: why.
So I'll just ask the question:
Why would an exchange cycle the same 333M tokens into its own reserve wallet, over and over - the same exchange whose declared solana:dog1viwbb2vWDpER5FrJ4YFG6gq6XuyFohUe9TXN65u reserves I previously found to be 9.16B larger than what's actually in the wallet?
